Host was fantastic. Laid back friendly Dutch host, Wout, couldn’t have been better. Lovely house boat in a quiet part of town but still only a short walk or bus ride to everything fabulous. The fantastic Westerpark is just around the corner. Try Bakerswinkkel Westerpark for a true Dutch breakfast experience and TonTon Westerpark at night. 10/10. Thank you Wout.
Fantastic location, gorgeous houseboat with everything you need! However, breakfast is no longer included - we were not told until arrival and you cannot smoke weed on the smoking terrace! I suppose this is because they have children but it should still be stated before arrival
We are a family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) and we rate Minties Houseboat with a full 5 stars! The rooms are a good size, extremely clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds (large enough for this very tall family!) and both rooms have en suite shower/toilets. Vredenhofpad is approx. 3 km away from the center of Amsterdam, the bus no.21 runs very regularly or the tram no.5 is close by. After a long day of sightseeing it was a welcome relief to return to the peace and quiet of this gorgeous houseboat in a tranquil neighborhood. Even the teenagers were happy!! We were lucky to have warm sunny weather and we had breakfast on the terrace directly overlooking the canal. There is a fridge, coffee machine and kettle in each room, which I personally was very grateful for. I think it was very good value for money and we would definitely stay here again.…
Great location very conveniently located within a four minutes walk to the bus or tram stations allowing unlimited access to the entire city. The room is spacious with contemporary furnishings. There is a rooftop patio which allows for a relaxing cup of coffee in the morning or a soft glass of wine in the evening while taking in the view of the quiet canal. The area is very quiet and a perfect place for a weekend getaway! The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure the comfort of their guests!
Houseboat is in such a quiet wonderful part of Amsterdam. Very close to bus station, centum is 10 minutes by bike.Just across the street is Westerpark, absolutely fantastic place where to have a coffee, walk or just watching life around. Suggesting coffee at No.39. Young smiley people, with sitting outside to watch people going by. There´s also a few pubs, where you can go at evening, Rooms are very clean, great decoration and wonderful view on Windmill, equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. Owner Wout gave us his bikes, what was the most incredible thing to do in Amsterdam. And it is the best way to see Amsterdam in different point of view. We arrived at 3am though we had flight delay and night trains were cancelled, so it was long way to Amsterdam form Eindhoven, but fantastic beds in houseboat do the best. So I definitely recommend to stay in this area and really love to stay at Wout´s place.…
