My daughter and her boyfriend stayed here for two nights at 400 Euro and wrong instructions were given to them about check out. Their stuff in the fridge was thrown away. They couldn't get back their phone charger. Treated badly by the housekeeping lady and lastly insulted by the owner through viscious emails. Never stay here .. This place should... More

I have to say that I loved staying at this place and would do so again in a heartbeat. The House of Amstel is just at the edge of the Red Light district and easy to get to by tram from the main train station. I walked everywhere I went and there are bike rentals close by. My room was... More

My friends and I booked House of Amstel for a girls weekend. The location is perfect, around the corner there are clubs - I highly recommend anyone to visit Smokey. We was between a bar, coffeeshop, supermarket and tobacco shop. It is a 20 minute walk to Amsterdam Central station. However, the room is misleading as we were informed we... More

It is an old house with great views of the Amstel canal. We had booked a suite with a balcony but it was another flight of the steep stairs to go up there. The balcony had seats but it was dirty and it was cold to go up there anyway. When we arrived, we were greeted by I guess was... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay here. Lovely boutique style rooms - decorated to a high standard. 3 adults stayed in one room but the room was really spacious. Bathroom was a good size. I'd rate the room 8.5 out of 10 just a couple of things let it down - really dusty blinds, outside of the main door... More

Boutique rooms are beautiful! Calling the owner before arrival and being greeted more or less straight away with the keys was perfect. Size of the room was perfect and just what we needed. We stayed on the first floor! Coffee machine with coffee pods is a cute touch! No dirt or dust anywhere and plenty of towels for 3 people... More

Apartment was brilliant in a perfect location. Spent hours one lazy day on the big seats at the window just looking out. Apartment has everything you need and is really close to lots of attractions, bars and clubs.
