Centrally located on a quiet residential street. Silk room has a private entrance with a nice entry way. Beautifully decorated and spacious. Beds and chairs were comfortable as well. Bettina met us and introduced us to her B&B and the area with champagne and home made banana bread. She is so friendly and an excellent communicator. We highly recommend!
The Weavery is a lovely surprise in the best location in Amsterdam for everyone, but specially for those of us who deem ourselves as art lovers; right in the center of the Art District, at barely 10 mins walk from the Museums Quarter and very close to great Galleries and Antique Shops. We stood for two nights at the Silk Room which is as much charming as comfortable. Great bathroom with wonderful amenities. The place emanates care and love for making things in the most respectful way both for the environment and for the guests. On top of everything, we were literally pampered by Bettina. This is definitely our place in Amsterdam forever. I couldn't recommend it more.
What a wonderful treat it was for my husband and I to enjoy a special break in Amsterdam and be lucky enough to be able to stay at 'The Weavery' - The room which felt like a mini apartment was Gorgeous, Beautifully styled with a bohemian aesthetic with very thoughtful and personal touches that any traveller would need from optional breakfast taken in the privacy of your room at a time to suit you (Take the option!) to having the convenience of a mini kitchenette with fruit, teas, a nespresso maker, fridge containing a lovely home made cake to welcome us - I could go on. Bettina is the perfect host - she is there when you need her for any advice or recommendations and is otherwise unobtrusive. Her lovely husband Driss is also lovely and we bought some cushions, rug and bedspread from their beautiful store close by which has been set up in order to enable meaningful employment for the local women of the village where Driss was born in Morocco. The Weavery is very well located and within a 5-10 minute walk of all the main museums and we walked everywhere with ease. Yet, it is tucked away down a quiet street. If you are seeking a home from home, away from the generic 'Big' hotel experience then I recommend The Weavery - the experience will enrich your stay in Amsterdam. Next time, we will be back and trying to nab at spot in 'The Suite' which is usually fully booked.…
I can’t say enough about our wonderful stay at The Weavery! Bettina, the host, was so helpful to us from the time we booked until when we left for home. The room was adorable, comfortable, and had a beautiful outdoor terrace. Bettina made us feel so welcomed, and she made sure we had everything we needed! And more!! She responded immediately when we had questions about where to go in Amsterdam, and helped us in every way possible. The location was perfect with everything within very short walking distance - cafe’s, bakeries, museums, the train station, and much more! We truly lucked out finding Bettina and The Weavery when searching for bed and breakfasts! We absolutely will stay here again if we ever get a chance to go back to Amsterdam
The Weavery is a truly wonderful oasis in the heart of Amsterdam. Bettina provides a warm welcome and personal touches, homemade cakes and strawberries for us. The room we had was honestly the best room I have ever stayed in. Everything has been thought of. Luxury bathroom products, microwave, Nespresso machine, fridge, TV, Bluetooth Speaker, comfortable bed. The Rooftop terrace was my favourite. So much of Amsterdam is on the doorstep with a metro stop two streets away. I cannot wait to return and would wholeheartedly recommend
A fantastic and unique place with such a friendly hostess, Bettina and her hospitable family. I was here with my 19 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. Magical room, home-baked in the room every day even for us gluten-free (incredible!) And lots of good tips on everything from restaurants, nice jogging trips along the canals, cool new neighborhoods, excursions and much more. We enjoyed both the room and the city so much that it was difficult to choose whether we would make the town or stay in the suite :) We can really recommend staying here when going to Amsterdam or maybe go to Amsterdam to stay just for this wonderful place! We definitely will go here again!
To stay at the Weavery is to experience a little taste of what it is like to live in Amsterdam. Situated in a narrow residential street lined with plants and flowers, between two canals, the location is safe and quiet. I stayed in the Silk Room, the basement apartment, with my own entrance and for 4 days wanted for nothing. I was welcomed by Bettina with cake, maps, information and many helpful recommendations. My tastefully decorated apartment had a dining area, kitchen, ensuite bathroom and enough kitchen equipment to crete a light meal. I'm hoping to return very soon.
2020 did not offer much in the way of travelling abroad. But the one trip I did undertake going to Amsterdam stands out as one of the best prolonged weekendtrips I've ever been on. The main reason can be contributed to Bettina and Driss running their remarkable B&B The Weavery. Not only did Bettina go out of her way to help rebooking and providing information in light of COVID, but also did so with pleasant and open lines of communication. For me this only cemented my desire to book with The Weavery and when I managed to find a suitable weekend my girlfriend and I were not dissapointed. The room is cosy, clean and has an amazing decor and atmosphere. The place is situated perfectly for exploring Amsterdam and is easily reached by public transport from the Airport. Bettina and Driss were welcoming and warm people, talking with them about their journey and experiences was heartfelt and the highlight of 2020 for me.…
This ultra charming b&b made me and my daughter sooo happy! We loved the exceptional hospitality of Bettina & her nice family. The appartement is very tastefully decorated, it inspired us to the max! We enjoyed every minute and cannot think of 1 thing to improve... Just perfect!
Bettina is such a great host and the pictures barely do this place justice. If it wasn't always so wet during our stay the balcony would have been a great hangout, but even as it was the room is so roomy and well appointed that we enjoyed being in almost as much as going out. Right on the metro line, a straight shot to the train station, this is a great place if you want to day trip to all the beautiful Dutch towns. I will recommend to my children, I think this would fit four. Great for a small family, too.
