Stayed in Amsterdam for 3 nights. and we got a free upgrade to a newer houseboat by the owner Patricia. It was spotless clean and the location was perfect, very near to literally everything you need in Amsterdam! A self contained unit, you could watch the world go by on the canal through the big bottom to ceiling window. You... More

This houseboat has been converted into two self contained units in the canal so it could take two couples. The location is perfect and central for all the tourist hot spots and railway station. The interior has been well done with bright decor and a beautiful large comfy bed. The kitchen is small but adequate as is the bathroom. You need... More

Great, clean, spacious and in a great location. Nice to have outside terrace to watch the world go by on the canal. Near to all main attractions! Diana checked us in and was very welcoming. Given bottle of wine, beer and biscuits which was nice added bonus. Definitely recommend.

Pros: -Fantastic location about a 10 min walk from the train station, close to many of the major attractions. -The boat we stayed in was newly renovated and absolutely lovely. The side facing the canal was all glass. It had a large and comfortable bed, modern bathroom, very attractive decor and a little patio with 2 chairs that was fantastic... More

A perfect base for visiting Amsterdam from which you can either walk or jump on a canal boat to visit most places. Although small it is well equipped and comfortable so you can dine out or eat in as you wish. A bit noisy at night but that's central Amsterdam for you, lots of atmosphere. Very friendly people to help... More

I've only been to Amsterdam one time, so maybe I can't quite claim what I did in the review title, but I really can't think of a better way to stay in Amsterdam. It's a beautiful houseboat in the relatively quiet Jordaan district, close to everything, yet removed from a lot of the noise/rowdiness of some of the other areas.... More

A great welcome that could match any 5 star hotel! The houseboat is a unique experience better than any hotel. Open the veranda door and you can step out onto the decking right at the canal waters edge. Open a bottle of wine, relax and watch the boats go by your window. Rooms are clean and nicely decorated with all... More

We were two couples sharing whole boat ( boat split into two apartments) much better than staying in hotel. The boat has everything you need to enjoy Amsterdam experience. Great location, nicely decorated, open veranda doors and your instantly involved in hustle and bustle of Amsterdam life. Great market opposite bank on Saturdays. We walked miles everyday and it was... More

Stayed here for 5 days in late March of this year. Location in the Jordaan and only a 10 minute walk from the train station. Check-in was easy and very helpful! Paul explained everything and gave us tips of where to go based on the couple questions we asked. Patricia was amazing in helping answer all of our questions prior... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
