Fantastic customer service from when we were at the reception desk. The room was well kitted out with cool modern gadgets and the bed was amazingly comfy. The shower and toilet were contained within the room, as was the sink, however this wasn't an issue for us as the room provided all that we needed and to an excellent quality.... More

A really great hotel for a very reasonable price. The room was comfortable, I had a wonderful little balcony, the shower was amazing, and the service was superb. It's in a great neighborhood with restaurants, coffee shops, and a street market very close. Within a ten minute walk to the Van Gogh Museum among others. It's nice that it's just... More

Modern, clean with a good sized room. We stayed 5 days at this place and we were close from everything by foot. There were a lot of nice restaurants around it. Amsterdam is a great city to visit The staff were pleasant and effective. The only point to improve is that we hear in the room the noise from the... More

My wife and I stayed in the Sir Albert for just one night, but had we known how nice of hotel it was, we would have stayed in Amsterdam longer. The staff provided the highest level of service of any hotel that I have ever stayed in. They went above and beyond to helpful. The room was great, not overly... More

We stayed in this hotel to celebrate New Year in Amsterdam. What a find! The hotel is in a real cool Neighbourhood with some good restaurants just over the road. I could not fault the room, the bathroom was luxurious, we had an amazing deep bathtub in the bedroom itself, an ultra comfy bed. The design of the hotel from... More

Loved, loved and loved this hotel. From check in to check out, the staff were welcoming and helpful. It was the small touches of hospitality that puts this hotel high on my list...complementary Prosecco, ever so helpful in ordering cabs and giving us dining recommendations, and taking time to small talk after we've come in from a day long of... Stayed at the sir albert hotel in July 2016 for 1 night only but was a lovely hotel. Chilled drink (champagne or iced water) on arrival, they had upgraded our room without us asking which was nice. The foyer and reception area was impressive before we even got to our room, staff very welcoming and friendly. Room was lovely and... More

Checked in on the Friday whilst sipping Prosecco. The desk clerks were welcoming, and really nice people who helped us plan a places to visit whilst we stayed. We were lucky enough to be upgraded and our room was very cool. A huge bath in the room, a separate hidden bathroom with an even bigger shower. The bed was out... More

We had a very friendly welcome by the staff at the reception and were treated with complementary Prosecco, which was a nice touch. As it was my birthday we were greeted by balloons in the room and a couple of free cocktails at the bar. Another nice touch. The location is superb, right by a canal and in the trendy... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
