We had an outstanding experience at the Sir Albert Hotel. The hotel is lovely, well managed and maintained, and very well situated - in walking distance of great museums and many terrific restaurants. Best of all, the hotel staff is amazing. We needed help with some arrangements during our visit, and there was nothing too much or too little to ask. We highly recommend Sir Albert and would happily stay there again if in Amsterdam.
Location is perfect to walking to the center but still very quiet and relaxing, rooms are small but have everything you need and a clean comfy bed. Only major downside is that wifi had problems and was cutting out, they need to fix that and make it a non public network.
This hotel is a great boutique style hotel with super friendly and accommodative staff. The beds here are super comfortable and there is well functioning air conditioning in the rooms. They also have bikes available for rent. The location here is also solid, as you can be to the center area of Amsterdam with a quick Uber ride or bike.
We stayed 12 nights at this boutique hotel in de Pijp. It has a perfect location, walking distance to museums, parks, Concertgebouw, and numerous restaurants. The rooms are clean, quiet, and well maintained and the shower in our room was the absolute best. But most of all, the amazing front desk staff ( Annabelle, Buren, Ishmael, and Sergei in particular) made our stay extra special thanks to their never ending cheerfulness and helpfulness. It all added up to a wonderful experience at very reasonable rates.
After enjoying the Sir Adam hotel, I was much looking forward staying at the Sir Albert. Sadly it was a big disappointment. The Sir Albert has the spirit of a hostel rather than a Bonvoy hotel. The staff is very cheerful, but definitely more interested in the trendy attached restaurant and all the trendy people in it than in the hotel. The restaurant is the centre of the complex... The room was unacceptable for a Marriott hotel. It was in the utter back corner, to reach it, you have to go through the stairway. It has a door to the adjacent room. One time room service, came into the room through that door... Because of the door, I could hear the neighbour's every move, snif, cough. Really disturbing. It said city views... I looked at a 5 meters away new bland apartment building.... see pictures. The room is so small, the carpet is too large (picture) and not really clean.. (see pic). Response by check-out: you should have tool us... so you can give this room to another guest? Not okay... Next time I'll take a real boutique hotel, that isn't even more expensive.…
Good location. Really reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and modern. Staff is attentive and friendly. The breakfast was also delicious. Location close to museum district, and the outside market. Overall, it was a good budget friendly stay.
Even though we live in the region, we decided to spend the night at Sir Albert after we walked along the Amsterdam Light Festival. Upon arrival, the staff explained that valet service was not possible due to the covid-19 measures. Actually, no problem since the spacious public parking garage called AlbertCuyp is a stone's throw from the hotel. This guarded parking garage has many charging points for electric cars by the way. Back at the hotel, a warm welcome by the people at the front desk, where you can sit comfortably while everything is being put in order. Our room was on the 4th floor. A good size room for city standards with a separate shower and toilet and a lovely soft, comfortable bed. The room was well furnished, including a desk, coffee maker, as well as a steam iron, and an excellent hairdryer. We had booked an extra room for the evening for a small fee which was turned into a small living room with a dining table where it was possible to have dinner delivered from Izakaya restaurant. Breakfast could be ordered by phone in the morning. The service was very friendly and fast. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the omelet was delicious, as were the various pastries. In summary, lovely hotel, a great room, and all the staff are professional, passionate, and friendly.…
I loved how friendly and easy going everyone was. The staff was super nice, the location is incredible. I got a top floor that had the fantastic view overlooking the water - couldn't ask for more :) I set in the common area's to work and had a lovely time (and a strong wi-fi).
This Design hotel is amazingly situated in the city walks to all place of interest. Walking and biking is the best way to take in the Amsterdam culture. The hotel room was amazing. I suggest to book 4th floor with balcony. The front desk all the way to the kitchen staff were all friendly and amazing. The hotel design has a great mesh with the outside.
We checked in early for a 5-night stay, Hotel was easy to find - via de Pijp on Metro Line 52. There is a huge outdoor market on Cuypstraat. During our stay, we checked out the fitness centre next door, the museums nearby and the rich history of the property. Checking in was fast & friendly.,seated and relaxed (reminded me of our stay @ the iconic Savoy in London!) Our room upgrade was also nice c/w Marriott Platinum amenities. No need to take a taxi or Uber, We returned to Schlipol in less than 1/2 an hour via 52/GVB change at Zuid. A highlight for us was the staff..............they are all excellent, and one is outstanding. I can't name himhere (Trip Advisor rules!) but you will know who I mean when you meet him.
