Had the pleasure of staying here for six nights in June 2022. Despite the staff shortages across Europe, the team at the Andaz Amsterdam could not have been more helpful. Great food - healthy, fresh and plenty of options. Rooms were terrific - oversized and very comfortable. Housekeeping was terrific. Gorgeous garden that was greatly appreciated. Plenty to do and see.
It was such a wonderful stay at Andaz Amsterdam! Great location, fantastic staff, awesome food, and an amazing interior design. The best hotel experience I ever had and I do travel a lot. Highly recommended!
First of all guys let me tell you that the rate you pay in this hotel isn't cheap BUT you get a Designhotel by Marcel Wanders(who also designed the Superhotel MONDRIAN in Doha/Qatar! (were we stayed for 3 nights 3 years ago). You have to like it but if you do you are in a perfect decor.Check in was perfect and very professionnal thanks to the ukrainian guy. Thanks!Hotel quite new (about 7 years) and very clean.Valetservice with hotelgarage (65euro per day).Parking in Asterdam is very expensive and very rare...so use it.Food was delicious BUT GUYS notice that their restaurant is just open on Friday and Saturday for dinner??!!...This is why we rated this Hyatt just with 4 stars as you have to dinner in their bar all the other days.Limited offer in the bar... Room was very hype with separate toilet(no sink in it?!).Minibar was complimentary. Unfortunately the walls separating the rooms are not soundproof and the last night we couldn't sleep until 4 am as our female US neighbours didn't care about noise and made their party.....Hotelmanagement should pay more attention and they ought to correct those guys.…
We had an enjoyable stay in Amsterdam. Andaz seemed a new hotel, so basic fixtures & upkeep were good. Front desk was helpful. Room service was appalling. We had some dietary restrictions, and were told multiple times that they cannot help. The most helpful advise was to order from Uber Eats. We understand hotels might have menu restrictions - the complete lack of effort by the room service team to listen to our dietary needs & attempt to find a solution was a first time experience for me.
The hotel is in a great location in Amsterdam. I had a single room with quite amount of room and lovely bathroom. Closet space was good for me. The Food was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. Highly Recommend for your next trip to Amsterdam.
Great stay at the Andaz! Fun hotel decor and theme, especially the garden area and the bar and restaurant area. Clean room, yummy food, great staff! Location is perfect for dining, bars, walking, shopping etc. Safe neighborhood (careful of the bikes!) too.
Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to stay at the Andaz Amsterdam & our booking had to be cancelled. I found however that my credit card had been charged for the cancelled reservation & I therefore rang the hotel to discuss. They could not have been more helpful. They answered the phone very promptly - no annoying telephone queues. They located my cancelled reservation & payments without delay. They were able to resolve the problem immediately & were incredibly helpful & polite. It was such a relief. If the customer service at the hotel is half as terrific as their phone team, I'm looking forward to being able to re-book & actually visit next time!
We had a wonderful experience at the Andaz. We especially loved the decor throughout the hotel. The room was very comfortable with a nice view of the garden; it was also incredibly quiet. (The only small complaint about the room - I really prefer a mirror behind, not next to, the sink.) The breakfast was great in terms of quality, selection, setting, and service. The location of the hotel is perfect - in a quiet part of the canal zone, far enough away from the crowded pedestrian streets of the old city and the area surrounding the Leidseplein. We liked the convenience to major sights, public transport, and the 9 Streets area. Highly recommended!
Beautifully decorated with flowers and vases throughout the property. Our room was well appointed and very comfortable for European standards, and the specially designed upholstered wall panel that separated the bedroom and living room matches the sofa shows great attention to detail. The Amsterdam themed blue and white wall papers provided fun facts in the bathroom. Room service was slow, and the bluetooth speaker did not work, but otherwise a superb stay.
It is a modern contemporary property of Hyatt as carried by the new name of Andaz and it is nicely located in central of Amsterdam with a very helpful staff starting from when you are checking in till you are out. Some trainees are in location as The Netherland start recruiting new staff however overall service are excellent.
