Bad room, dirty, very bad smell in room and bathroom, bathroom extremely small. Extremely noisy cause everything from other rooms can be heard. Staff unfriendly. Bad experience for a price of 75 eur without breakfast. No suggestion at all, go somewhere else!!!

Very nice hotel with absolutely amazing staff! So friendly and so helpful, there are bikes for you to rent at affordable prices and the rooms, although small, are cosy and cleaned daily. Didn't eat here so no idea about the breakfast facilities, however the hotel is situated very close to lots of amenities and local attractions! I would definitely recommend... More

This hotel is right on Vondelpark which is a great park to spend time in. The hotel is in walking distance to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. Nearby you can take a canal tour. We walked everywhere downtown Amsterdam from this hotel. The hotel serves breakfast for 10.00 euros per person - pricey but there is a large... More

Booked a family room. Very comfortable, great location. Opposite a main park and walking distance of everything. Clean rooms and amenities. Breakfast average for a Brit's taste, but kids didn't complain. Car parking is on the street and has to be paid for. Would stay again - what more can I say.

Great location and value for money. The area was nice and quiet and directly opposite Vondelpark. We literally jumped on the bus at the airport and were there in 20 mins. The man on reception was very helpful and gave us lots of info on the area and things to do. Yes the room and bathroom was small... but to... More

This hotel is in the most perfect location. Near enough to jump on a tram or even walk to the city centre and right next to Leidseplein and Vondelpark away from the major hussle and bustle. Get the 197 bus to Reikjmuseum, turn left off the bus and the hotel is on the street a few down on the left,... More

I came to Vossius in August with 2 of my friends and we stayed in one of the triple rooms for 3 nights. The hotel is in a good location and seemed clean, however just after our first night, I was basically eaten alive by fleas at night! After the second night I went to the reception to ask what... We stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel very easy to get to from Central Station. The 1, 2 and 5 trams go to Leidseplein which is only a few minutes walk to the hotel and right next to Vondelpark. Breakfast was basic but decent and hotel staff were generally helpful and friendly. Recommended for those on a... More

We read some mixed reviews about this hotel but went with it anyway. Actually we could not have done better for the price. The rooms were small but clean, reception staff were multi-lingual and very helpful. It is in a really quiet and safe area in the museum district, away from the hussle and bussle of dam square and the... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
