Good location, friendly staff & free coffee. Looked after our luggage for the day aswell. Room could do with a little tlc but overall good standard. Nice cafes located close by. 2nd visit to this hotel & would return again.
Not too difficult to get into the city centre and to and from the airport. Situated in a quiet part of town. Accommodation very clean but room very small. Very good and hot shower. Staff all very helpful.
Good location. Staff only on site during some hours. Bathroom was large and good shower pressure. Near school so a bit loud during the day. Balcony was nice. TV didnt work. Bed was comfy and had a mini fridge for keeping stuff in room.
This isn't actually a hotel; there's no front desk per se, but an office with limited hours on the fourth floor. More like a condo that some investor has turned a couple floors into AirBnb's. Mornings start early there, with children running , screaming, and riding big wheels at the crack of dawn, (possibly permanent residents in the building?). My reservation confirmation promised I would not be charged before check-in, but the 'hotel' tried to charge my card a week in advance which led to cancellation of the card for unauthorized charges. That created a huge problem for the 7 weeks I spent traveling throughout Europe. This was the only disappointment in an otherwise perfect trip, and what a disappointment it was.
The Amadi Park Hotel is located at a very nice place and is very close to the historical places. There are nice cafes around, where you can find something tasty to eat and drink. The check-in was very smooth, and the reception staff was very nice. The room was of normal size, with a very nice balcony, overlooking the main street. The room however, was not very clean (there was huge dust in the lamps, for instance) and there were no slippers. There were however tea and coffee-making supplies in the room. The check-out was very smooth as well.
My friend left my watch on the side table next to the bed and the Housekeeper stole it while cleaning the room. Management isn’t helping despite the insistence that it was stolen and it’s very valuable.
While I usually have a very pleasant stay here. This time around the house keeper stole my watch from my room. Management was unhelpful. Be careful they are employing “trustworthy” criminals. Not staying here anymore.
As other reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is in a shared building with another hotel & residential units, but it’s not at all inconvenient or hard to find. The reception provides free water for your room (a refillable tap) and the staff was very helpful with recommendations and also super friendly! The rooms were very clean, lovely wood floors, comfortable beds & great showers. Food, drinks & shops all within walking distance & it’s about a 15 minute walk into the central part of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, there were many restrictions due to Covid while we were there, but having a comfortable room with a helpful front desk staff made it much more bearable!
- Hotel room was super hot even though it was cold outside. - Road noise is loud even if not facing street directly (mine faced south) if keeping window open. - Every noise was amplified, all day and night. Banging and clanging and booms and simple talking clearly audible from other rooms. Cabinets are actually designed to slam shut LOUDLY. There is no quiet here. - It was shabby and cheap, with walls all scuffed up. Zero charm. - Dark bathroom. Could barely see anything. - View of a carpark. - Has nespresso and mini-fridge but no kettle. Later realized the fridge was broken--the food was not cold. - Stains all over table in room, so cleaning not particularly attentive. The biggest issue was how noisy it is--unacceptable for any hotel. I checked out early.
From the pictures and advertisements it makes it look like the building is the whole hotel but in actual fact the building is shared with 2/3 other hotels & private apartments. In my opinion I think this makes the security of the hotel unsafe as nearly anyone can be buzzed in and wander around the corridors of the rooms. The courtyard as you walk into the hotel is very eery & creepy with weeds growing up through the grouting. However, the staff in the reception were very nice and welcoming and the room was very clean, comfy and modern. However when we got there the coffee machine was leaking everywhere & when we asked for it to be fixed they just emptied the broken machines water. Apart from those small issues we had a lovely stay at the Amadi Park Hotel.
