Our host, Camilla was wonderful and the breakfast that was served to us was nothing less than exceptional. The photos of our room were not as expected and the warning or the number of stairs that we had to climb were not explained and we were thankful that we didn't have our 80 year old mother with us. Overall an...

Dear Rhonda and Graham. We are really sorry you feel puzzled about the value for money and I am afraid you missed an email in which I explained what to expect with the stairs. Since the house is built in 1870 we did not want to spoil it with an elevator. However these stairs are very wide and comfortable!! we...

Stayed for a long weekend at the end of November 2016 for my husband's 30th, and boy are we glad we booked to stay here! We were very warmly welcomed by Camilla with some light refreshments in the stunning breakfast room. We were shown to our suite (Isaac Israels) which was very comfortable and opulent with everything you needed for...

I don't even know exactly how I discovered Breitner House, but I'm very glad I did because neither my wife nor I have ever experienced anything quite like it. Charming, glamorous, opulent, exquisite, unique, tasteful, warm, wonderful, eccentric, bohemian, lush, I could use endless adjectives to describe the house but what is most appealing is the hostess, sadly Guido was...

Where do I start?.....was this a dream or did this actually happen. Well rest assured this was not a dream but a life experience that my wife and I will never forget. We have travelled extensively across the world over the last 30 years and stayed in a number of opulent hotels, but Breitner House raises the bar in every...

As most of the previous reviews, my husband and I had the most fantastic time. Guido and Camila the hotel owners are genuinely kind, cultured, fun people. They went of their way to ensure we had everything we could possibly need and more. Guido even drove us around the city on our first day, which really helped us get a...

What can I say. This hotel was the best hotel experience we have ever experienced. From our arrival, Camilla and Guido made us feel like family. The suites, only the 2, are excellent. We stayed in the Issac Israels suite on the ground floor with our own private garden. The breakfasts we were offered, were, without doubt, the best we...

We stayed for two days at the Breitner House on our way back home from a trip to Hong Kong. I must say it has been the highlight of our trip. We have never been in an hotel like it, so personal, it was like visiting family. The place is wonderfully decorated, full of details, in fact every little space...

Our four-day stay with Camilla and Guido at the Breitner House was like being in the exquisite home of good friends whose heartfelt desire was that our Amsterdam visit be as close to perfection as possible. Each day we felt like we were the most important guests who had ever crossed their threshold, and if you look at the other...
