We were so fortunate to stay 6 nights. The location near the heart of Amsterdam was perfect. Chris and David helped us with maps, suggestions of where to eat, and what to see. The rooms were clean, the self-serve breakfast provided both continental and Dutch foods. I loved the Dutch cheeses, meats and fresh bread. Every detail from ample food... More

The Location and Service is super. Very friendly owners that have decorated the rooms practical and with a good touch of Design from Holland. I would stay at this B&B next time when we go to Amsterdam.

After a five night stay, I left only regretting that I could not stay more. The reviews are all excellent and I am happily adding another! From the kindness of David and Chris, their help and graciousness, location of their B&B, and the lovely cat.....everything was incredible. Staying anywhere else would be misfortune for a visitor (first time or returning)... More

Stayed for 3 nights at the Tulip, we knew from the moment David opened the door with an out stretched arm to shake our hands it was going to be a good stay. Chris and David were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much bother or trouble. The B&B is a traditional Dutch house and was absolutely immaculate. Our... More

We stayed at the Tulip for one night - regrettably not more! The B&B was in a fantastic location for exploring Amsterdam and easy to get to from the train station. When we arrived were made instantly welcome with a cup of tea and a chat and offered some suggestions of places to see and where to eat. Generally when... More

We spent 2 nights with my husband at the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B in June 2013. It was a wonderful experience! The B&B is in a great position, extremely close to all the main attractions in Amsterdam. Nice and Amsterdamish room with everything you may need..Bottle of wine, fruit basket, coffee, tea and other snacks what can be better! David... More

I visited the Tulip with my friend and despite the rave reviews we were still pleasantly surprised at the B and B. The best thing about it has to be the location - which is within walking distance of basically everything. Despite being metres away from the red light district, it is also not seedy at all and very well... More

I have spent 2 nights with my girlfriend at the Tulip of Amsterdam B&B in May 2013. It was a wonderful experience! The B&B is in a great position, extremely close to all the main attractions in Amsterdam. Chris and David, the 2 owners are super hospitable and made us feel like at home. The B&B is very very nice... More

Oh, I think it's the hardest review I've written by far... It is simple to write acid reviews about places and things that have disappointed you, so much easier to write nice things for places that you had the good fortune to discover. But, when it comes to talk about PERFECTION, what could you add??? Especially when you see that... More

The location of this little gem is perfect! Hosts David and Chris were very helpful and friendly, but not hovering over you like in some B&B's - we liked having our space. The place is central (within walking distance) to many of the attractions - canal boats, red light district, train station, buses, shopping, Chinese district, etc. We were warmly... More

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
