I have just returned from a weekend at Le Coin for my hen do and it was great, excellent location, clean rooms, friendly staff. We had a issue with one of the room and it was resolved quickly. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for one night without breakfast. We had a very kind welcome and a nice stay in Amsterdam. Our room had a Nespresso machine with 4 free capsules, wich was very nice. The location is in the middle of Amsterdam, so a perfect start for a city trip. Free WiFi was included.

Perfect Location. Close to Central Station, Dam Square, Canal Ring and the Red Light District. Well priced as well given it's location and other hotels around it. Would definitely come back here the next time we come back to Amsterdam, such a beautiful city. We walked from Central Station to the hotel, rakes about 20mins.

Location close to everything: Amsterdam centraal, dam square, markets. Clean rooms, coffee machine at every room, perfect! Very big rooms, breakfast at 13.5 €. Nice staff. I will certainly return to this hotel at my next time in Amsterdam.

I have been travelling to Amsterdam for 10 years to attend Intertraffic . This is by far the nicest hotel that I have stayed in. The room was superb, very large (which is unusual for Amsterdam) and spotlessly clean. The location near Ronkin was also ideal, beside the Flower market and the main shopping areas 5 min walk. But the... More

Hotel is in a good location for many different areas of Amsterdam. Staff were friendly and the room was massive. Large bed, seating area, kitchenette and big bathroom. We had a good view onto the river too to watch the world go by! Photo doesn't do the room justice as it's only half! Only trouble was the TV was far... More

Spotless stylish accomidation with seating/dining area, beds, mini kitchen ( with nespresso machine and pods) and bathroom with bath and great water pressure for showering. Friendly, helpful staff. Didn't have breakfast here as many great cafes in the area so can't comment on breakfast, but would definately stay here again. Had requested a quiet room and that's exactly what we... More

I had a pretty good experience, although there was a glitch or two, but your mileage might differ if you're a little less physically fit, or a little more sensitive to noise and light. More details: The room was clean, and looked like it had recently been spruced up. The bed was comfortable. The ambience was pleasant, and there was... More

Small hotel in the center. The room is large enough. Very clean and silent. Mattress is good enough. Nice folks at the desk. Washing machine available. For a 3 stars hotel they do quite a good job. Would certainly come back. Oh, the nespresso machine in the room is a nice idea. Good wifi.

Location, location, location! A charming hotel near everything. Situated between Rembrandt Square and Dam square, by Mont Plein. There is a wonderful café next to the hotel as well as a fancy shmancey restaurant across the street. This is not a hotel to 'hide' in while your in AMS. Its a basic place to crash. It has a lift so... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
