The room was cleaned. However one of the 3 matress was made of an unconfortable low density foam. In addition, it was small and missing space to store clothes. It is important to know that the showers and toilets are shared with other rooms. To sum up, the price paid (500 euros) for 3 persons was very high compared to...

I only stayed one night and it was booked only few days in advance. Perfectly suitable as a short-term inexpensive place to stay, with great friendly and helpful team on the reception desk. Though the bathrooms could have been a bit tidier.

Terrible sock-like smell that wouldn't disappear even with the window open. It seemed like the room carpets nor walls have ever been cleansed. Although location is quite good, the cost is way too expensive for what you get.

Smells of steakpie. No lockers for luggage. Room okay - could use new decor and air conditioning. Although is too costly considering they are a bit unpleasant. It was hot. Like sleeping nude hot. Matresses were like falling onto a sinking ship. Room appeared clean until we saw cigarette ends under the beds. The bathrooms could have used bathmats. Staff...

Cons - Steep stairs, very basic accommodation, a little bit of disrepair. Overall it's a great place for a short trip with friends,...

I stayed only one night due to travelling further up north to Groningen. I arrived from the airport and easily found this place. The receptionists were very helpful and friendly and it was a big plus. Wifi was fast and the kitchen area was big and well-equipped with lots of tables and chairs. The dorm where I was staying was...

The service is really minimum. Not even water for drink. Internet only works in the lobby. But the location is very good, in the city center, near to market, rijksmuseum, and easy to bicycling to places.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
