I stayed at the hostel for one night in a room for 10. It would not have space for more beds! So if you plan to spend more time than for sleeping in your room, this could be a problem because you do not have space to do anything. The bathroom is really tiny, too. The man on the reception... More

The hotel might not be a 5 star one but its location is great and convenient and the rate is totally the best you could ever find in Amsterdam central. Great choice for travelers who are on a budget. The staff were so friendly and helpful too!

The place is very well located and reception staff is very helpful and proactive. The rooms are quite basic but tidy. It's value is in the location. Recommended for a first time traveller to Amsterdam.

Dirty room. No daily change of the towels and other materials. Very very small bed size. Very thin wall. No elevator. Reasonable location. Approximately 1 km to Dam square and Rembrandt square. Good restaurants, pubs, ect. nearby.

I stayed in one of the 10 bed rooms with my boyfriend and we stayed for three nights which cost us €117 for both of us, really cheap which was perfect for Amsterdam. I've read some very negative reviews but I was pretty happy. Staff are nice this lovely Russian guy came every day and asked us if we wanted... More

Slept in 8-bed dormitory. Shower was ok, shared bathroom acceptable. Wifi was sometimes a little dodgy and power sockets were not always conveniently placed for each bunk bed. Also, I slept in a top bunk and there were no stairs to get to it. There were 2 chairs in the room I could make use of to get there, but... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
