It would have been ok had I paid half the price but for £75 a night I expected more. There was a window without a curtain, the carpet could have been cleaner. No soap was provided in the shower. Would have been better if a kettle was provided for tea/coffee in the room. Beds were comfortable and a great location but...

It's a terrible hotel. Don't rent this hotel. It's dirty, noisy, unsafe. Lockers don't work so nothing keeps your stuff safe. Staff is mean. I couldn't sleep well and the whole trip was like a disaster

This place is like a jail cell. Literally you need to climb a ladder to get to the room. No elevator. No tv, no lobby to enter rooms. You enter off the street. Staff is awful. I would give this so called hotel a 1/2 star. Be careful, they changed the rates last minute too. Very unprofessional business and poor...

No way to come back...no wi-fi, no telephone, no security, neither for the bags once you check out. no TV, just a CD looping. Sink in the room with a big leakage. Mice and cockroaches were my friends in the night. Breakfast was not possible by any means. People friendly in the lobby (basement) to cover the very bad conditions...

on the positive side, the location is good, pretty clean, and the staff is nice. the only downside is it has no lockers, and the private storage boxes are too small to even fit in a small laptop. But overall I would recommend it

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.

My couch had a hole in one side and was bent, so I slept really bad. Also the luggage room doesn't exist, they put all bags in the hall. I left a bag and when I came back to take it there was another person in the reception. I entered, took my bag and left without the receptionist even noticing me. I mean, is very easy to steal something. ”
