The hotel was all that we had hoped for with lovely furnishings and the most helpful of staff. Our room, Tolkein, was very large & light but was not overlooking the canal. Somehow this did not detract from the ambience. It was three steep flights up the stairs but worth it. It is always disappointing that breakfasts are not included... More

We stayed here on the tail end of a multi destination honeymoon. All the little things added up to one fabulous stay. Loved Amsterdam. This Inn is worth returning for. The smell of the towels. The high thread count sheets. Very welcoming service. Great suggestions for things to do by the inn's operator. Breakfast was a true highlight.

Location excellent, nearby tram stop and very close to the Museum and gallery region.A variety of restaurants and bars nearby. Cosy, warm, elegant ambience. Made to feel very welcome by all staff members who without exception were curteous efficient and helpful with advice.Highly recommended. Breakfast was good, just a pity not included in the price as the rooms are not cheap. Ed

My husband and I had never been to Amsterdam before, so we wanted to stay right beside one of the main canals. This hotel not only met all our requirements in terms of comfort and service, but it was so well located that we hardly had to take any form of transportation in the six days we were there -... Nice rooms, Nice people, Nice situation in the middle of the Jordaan district, near many nices restaurants. Very good breakfast, even if we had to wait a little bit, it deserves it ! I will recommand the suites instead of the room, less noisy...from the Dickens room we heard the stairs but we didn't matter because it felt like we're... More

Already arriving in the old town-house was an experience that sparked your imagination and thoughts on Amsterdam, both the present and the past. The interior is the opposite to the sparse style we have gotten used to. We got a nice bottle of local craft beer and a glass of wine. For our son, fresh juice. And snacks. The staff... More

Visited with my wife last March for three nights. Excellent boutique hotel with great and very helpful service. We stayed at room on the top, great room for young or fit couples (fourth floor). Located in a fantastic area for tourist activities and visiting Amsterdam for a few days. Very recommendable

Great to be able to walk everywhere and the young staff were generally very welcoming but perhaps lack the overview of a matriarch; breakfast service was great for 2 of the 3 days and terrible on one. Overall the decor is slightly scruffy; yes it has charm but not much sense of space. The stairs are very steep indeed and... More

We booked 2 rooms in March 2016 based on reviews of its location and décor. This hotel met our expectations on both the fronts. Located on a beautiful canal and within walking distance from Leidseplein, Rembrandtplein (both famous for restaurants & bars) & Kalverstraat street (shopping) and on a tram line. The décor is very charming, it’s a historic town... More

Given the central location (less than 10 minutes' walk from the Rijksmuseum and Concertgebouw), the discreet charm of the house, the warmth of the welcome and the care with which the individual suites had been furnished my four nights at Seven one Seven were a delight from beginning to end. I think I have found my home from home whenever... More
