We stayed at Hotel Multatui from April 25 to April 29th. The staff were helpful, happy, and the breakfast was plentyful, they do tell you to get to breakfast early due to the limited space or you will have to wait, understandable. The rooms and all other areas of the hotel were sparkling clean. And the beds were very comfortable, I... More

We had two room a 3 (first floor) and a 4 (basement). The 3 bed room was ok the 4 bed room a bit cramped with 2 singles and a double, so not ideal for 4 sharing. The forth bed was also a fold away bed again not the most comfortable. Breakfast was good and the location was also very... More

Hotel was what we expected, and is good for a weekend break, even with young kids. Well located for all kinds of public transport, and for walking around the city. Negatives are soft beds and insufficient number of tables in the breakfast room.

My heart sank when I was directed to my room in the basement and found there was a 'view' onto a concrete courtyard enclosed on all sides. But the plus point was that the room was exceptionally quiet; it was also clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficeient and breakfast was generous. I had no complaints and would certainly... More

Good selection for a few days break - over expensive like all Amsterdam Hotels. BEWARE - the breakfast room does not have sufficient capacity for the number of rooms/guests - we had to wait 30 minutes for a table! Other than that would recommend

This hotel is literally across the road (admittedly a busy and wide one) from Amsterdam Centraal. Staff were all friendly , welcoming and helpful. The room was sizeable and scrupuously clean. Breakfast was more than adequate. Would definitely use again.

My 2nd stay here, as I was impressed the first time. Spacious, (esp for Amsterdam!) comfy room both times, with tea and coffee making facilties! (So appreciated by us British!) Varied, fresh and large continental breakfast. Bathroom larger than expected, with heated mirror, (which never gets steamed up.) Only a few minutes walk along from the Central Station, (turn right... Hotel is just opposite Central Station and 10 minutes walk from city centre. Rooms clean but small (anyway you are on vacation! you will not stay in the room) Breakfast is perfect and rates are very good. Enjoy Amsterdam. This hotel has exceeded my expectations. TIP: Do not take a room on the 2nd floor. Ask for ground floor rooms.... More

I just came back from this hotel. Initially I had read OK reviews about it, very central, clean, nice staff etc. Besides being central all other comments were off. Me and a colleague traveling, were first put in very bad and dirty rooms, then we had to argue with the receptionist to change our rooms, finally our rooms where changed.... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
