Staff were lovely, friendly, very helpful and chatty. Rooms were great, clean towels and made bed everyday :-) had nice window so you could people watch, we were on 2nd floor. Stairs are quite scary, very very steep but after 5 days you get used to them!! Would definitely stay again 10/10!!!

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable en suite bedroom, compact but had everything needed. Good value for money in a very central location. Stairs are not for the feint hearted but to be expected in a traditional tall Dutch building....they were a challenge but we conquered them 😊 We would definitely recommend as a comfortable stop over for a short... Location is really great with an excellent price/quality relation. Amazing staff always ready to help. The stairs are insane, but i believe it´s the same in all the hotels in the city center. Very small small room.

Just returned from a break in the frisco inn to find I have had £50 taken from my bank account for alleged damage to the room. The room was left 100% the way we found it. Alleged to have written on a lamp which considering we didn't have a pen I find this accusation hilarious. . If anyone has had... More

Just returned from a 3 night stay only to find that this hotel has taken £50 out of my boyfriends account for alleged damage they say we caused to the room! A damaged drawer which we didn't even use and also blue ink on a light which is also strange considering the fact we didn't even have a pen! Furious... More

Nice little hotel. As with the rest of the reviews you will find the stairs are extremely steep and the standard rooms are quite small. We had room 14 and it was spot on. HD TV with English channels not that we watched them. Very comfy bed. Nice decor. Didnt have a problem with noise. Friendly staff. 5 minute walk... More

Hotels that are situated so well as Frisco inn usually let the rest of their services slip because they make the most of their location. Not Frisco, the rooms are impeccable with very comfy beds and a smart TV (!!). Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a cocktail bar that serves some of the best cocktails in town.... More

Stayed here for a long wknd. Found the room to be very clean and modern. Bathroom was spotless and shower was always hot and powerful. Downside the walls are paper thin and you can hear other people's conversations in their rooms and the church bells chiming every 30mins. Also stars are ridiculously steep and thin you need to be very... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
