I recently travelled to Amsterdam for a budget friendly but fun filled girls weekend. We chose City hotel because it seemed good value for money but it more than surpassed our expectations. We stayed in a three bed and while I had read reviews about the rooms being small, we were definitely pleasantly surprised with the size of the room....

The location is perfect. The tram station is right next to the hotel and one is in the middle of the city! Staff was very friendly, the rooms clean and warm and for little money there is a nice buffet in the morning. For people who cannot climb stairs it would not be suitable because the stairs are steep and...

6 of us ladies went to Amsterdam for a 40th birthday long weekend. This hotel was great fun to stay in, all together, in a central position. We originally needed 8 beds, so decided on this hotel. We had 3 bunk beds and 2 single beds. The beds themselves were very, very comfy, we all slept beautifully. It's a city...

lovely helpful staff, provided clean towels daily and made beds. But our room must have been the smallest in the hotel ( room 19 ).We had to live out of suitcase as there were no drawers. there was no kettle and not even glasses for water. It was only really suitable for a single bed. Shower was great though. They try...

We stayed for an overnight visit with two adults and two children in a quad room with private shower. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly from booking the room to checkout. We would definitely stay again. Perfect location, beautiful view, comfortable and clean room.

Stayed in a comfortable triple room. The rooms were simply appointed with firm beds and a good shower room. The room was clean and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. It's more basic than I'd usual choose but for the price, I'd recommend it.

 of 5 bubbles Bert_und_Ernie, Sep 24, 2014 | Read review
“Because of the location it is loud, so if you're looking for peace and quiet, then i do not recommend this hotel. But I have to recommend it BECAUSE of its location. There is life outside. You see it, hear it, and smell it. We stayed in room 26 (unfortunately I do not know which floor it is on) this room had a very small balcony on the corner of the building and a very small ledge on all windows that wrap around the room (hence the noise). The bathroom in the hotel was simple and clean (a total bonus for a woman). The lights are motion activated so if you're just sittin' there or chillin in the shower, they will turn off suddenly. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so i cannot say what was served or how it was. All-in-all, it was a good hotel, decently priced (at the time), and the location is choice.”
