During a European business trip I decided to take 2 days off in Amsterdam. My choice to stay at the Boat & Breakfast de Dageraad in Amsterdam was a complete success. You feel like in vacation during your week end. Staying in a Boat & Breakfast rather than a bland international hotel makes a huge difference.

Really something out of a book or a film, having just landed and spent a fortune on an airport taxi (€66!) we were looking forward to our accommodation! The first impression didn't disappoint and being able to use the decking was awesome! :) Rooms were immaculate and perfect! Very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The communal kitchen was well stocked... More

Thank you for your lovely review Peter. It was fun to have you and your party on board. Good tip for other travelers to look at what taxi to take. It is also possible to book a taxi in advance. This also makes it a lot cheaper. Kind regards and maybe see you in future some other time. Sylvia &... More

Lovely, peaceful boat and breakfast away from the bustle of city center. Hosts Sylvia and Theo are very welcoming. Spacious quarters (for a boat!). The two bedrooms with baths in suite plus kitchenette are perfect for 3-4 family. Very comfortable beds. Deck relaxing. Short walk to trams and easy quick bike ride into city center. Breakfasts were great and varied.... More

Just returned from celebrating my Mum's 60th birthday with my husband and parents in Amsterdam and we couldn't have chosen better accommodation. The boat is absolutely stunning and in a quiet area, yet only a 10 minute walk to the tram stop to take you quickly into the centre. The B&B was immaculate, spotlessly clean and of a very high... The boat was fantastic - warm comfortable and perfectly clean. A little bit out of town but playing on the trams is part of the fun of visiting Amsterdam. The area is lovelty and peaceful and the views across the harbour are great. Sylvia and Theo were very welcoming and helpful. They were away on Friday night so extra special... More

Wow! What a gorgeous house boat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on de dageraad. Everything was very clean and tidy and Sylvia was a fantastic host! We appreciated being able to leave our bags before checking in and leave our bags after we checked out - this was a massive help! Thank you for a beautiful weekend! We would love... More

Such a lovely place to stay. The people are very kind and flexible and they made a tasty breakfast. The houseboat is fantastic, with enough luxury for a good sleep and shower. We had a great weekend in Amsterdam visiting NEMO and the Amsterdam Dungeon!

3 of us booked 2 rooms. Greeted by the lovely couple (Theo & Sylvia) who briefed us on the attractions and mode of transport. We spent 2 nights. Although the weather was wet and cold, the hosts were very warm. A home away from home.

This was an excellent place to stay while in Amsterdam. The location is convenient to public transport (trams to both the central railway station and the line which goes round the central city), so easy enough to get to. The hospitality is wonderful; and the houseboat itself is an experience. Would happily recommend and use again.
