This hotel is more than we expected. The beds are comfortable, the rooms nice and bright and the hotel is situated in an excellent spot central to everything. The breakfast was lovely and the dining area was clean and a lovely continental feel to it. We will definitely be coming back to Amsterdam and it will definitely be Amsterdam house...

This is a pleasant small hotel right beside the Amstel 2 mins from Rembrandt Square with great tram connections. We had a comfortable room with view out over the canal although the central location comes with noise on weekend nights. Good continental breakfast with eggs to cook if you want. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Perfect location and the view to Amstel river and the nearby canals. Just lovely. 3rd floor apartment for 3 people was enough for us - 3 comfortable beds with clean sheets, enough room to place our small bags and keep everything in place. Nice table with arm chairs next to the window so it was great to sit there drink...

We visited at this hotel between 11th and 15th April 2017 and stayed in the same room they advertise and show as their main picture. The room itself was of an ok size overlooking the canal and had an en suit as advertised. Unfortunately, it looked like the room hadn't been cleaned since the days when Anne Frank was still...

Quite untidy, all the extra pillows, sheeting were thrown into the wardrobe disorderly. There were like 20 small shower gels and lotions laying around and couple of them were even empty! The room was cleaned once in 3 nights, and they didn't even bothered to put the 2 pillows next to each other, they were resting underthe sheet on top...

Beautiful spacious apartment, great views of the canals, really centrally located and felt really safe in the apartment too. We had a little issue with the Wifi when we first arrived but the staff were lovely and fixed this really quickly!

This hotel is bang in the centre of everything you need to see with lovely views of the canals. The staff were very friendly and helpful. However shame about the room, two single (small) beds with very ancient furniture where the the door actual fell off everything needed a good dust and polish. Shower room was of a good size...

This property is dated, smells. This property has poor wash facilities and the toilet flush had stopped working in our room. The shower was not clean and we did not use the shower. The property is dirty and needs cleaning thoroughly. Staff are kind. Please book elsewhere in Amsterdam. Lots of place to book and we paid a very high...

Stayed here with friends for a 30th birthday, for what we paid I wasn't overly impressed. There was a pair of socks and a loaf of bread left in our room and the bed was rock solid. Our friends room had cigarettes left In it. It was also extremely noisy on the first night with lots of people stood outside...

This place was in a great location but I walked out after seeing the room and found another hotel. it badly needed maintenance and the shower was really grim. I was told to write to the manager to company, three days later they have never answered my email and have not refunded my money. I've stayed in a lot of...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
