This hotel is placed in a very good area ,its easy walking distance to main attractions such as The museums and art galleries, The Heineken experience, and the canal system. The hotel has only one draw back the there is no lift and there are very steep stairs to the upper floors. The room we had was very good , clean... More

This hotel is the worst. It was rated 4 stars, but I give it 1.5. When we arrived, the person at check-in was fairly uninterested in us. We arrived around 9A, but check-in wasn't until 2P; when asked if we could get an earlier check-in (we had been flying all night) he just said "No, come back at 2:00P". When... More

Have been to Iron Horse in late March. The staff was outstanding, everyone is on positive vibe which they are sharing to you, very talkative and helpfull peeps. 20 mins walk from the Red Lights, 2 mins walk from parks, in a nutshell location is good. Happy that we choosed this hotel!

The hotel reception were without exception very helpful indeed. Our room was changed to one more suitable and this was instigated by them. The room was pretty basic but things could be added in as one wished. In fact it was suggested that one could bring a take away back! Earplugs could be useful as the doors slammed shut noisily.... The position of this hotel is great but due to the old building, it has no lifts. The tread of the staircase is extremely narrow so carrying luggage can be an issue. Rooms overlooking the main road are noisy (traffic) as no double glazing to the windows. But rooms are clean and well decorated to depict the Horses from which... More

I stayed with 2 girlfriends in room 11 which is a quadruple room on the lower ground floor. The room was immaculately clean and the beds Very soft and comfortable. There was free wifi (patchy signal but enough to use whatsapp and have the occasional FaceTime audio call), hairdryer (very hot but not that powerful), tea and coffee and a... More

Stayed here with a friend for 3 nights and found the hotel to be perfect for us, clean and modern room cleaned daily, complimentary tea and coffee in reception, bike hire available and in the perfect location just a five minute walk from the main shops, bars and restaurants and a 20 minute walk to other main attractions. Would definitely... More

Suggested by Tripadvisor when I was looking for a reasonably central hotel for my adult son and I to spend a weekend in Amsterdam. When we arrived, we were very happy to find it a short stroll from leidseplein, but still quiet. Reception is welcoming and the staff smiling and efficient. Our room was on the ground floor in the... I travelled with 3 friends and we had the quad room in the roof which was excellent and much better than two twin rooms . Very spacious room with good bathroom facilities . Good location for the local square and a tram stop only 5 mins walk away for easy access to central Amsterdam. There's isn't lift access to the... More
