Just got back from an enjoyable stay. The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and always on hand. The area is quiet but close to the lively leidesplein. Going back later in the year.

Very nice, affordable place to stay in Amsterdam. The large room is really large - gorgeous high ceiling - though the bed is short for anyone over six feet. The attached bathroom is small but fine. Clean, quiet (distant noise of trams, but not really disturbing, especially at night). Very helpful, responsible management. Interesting street; convenient to museums; very nice... More

This hotel is very clean and excellent value for the price. It was the cheapest I could find, right nr Leidseplein and good for those who like to sleep at night as it's quiet! Staff are friendly and free breakfast, i would go again!

Okay hotel, with very friendly people and fair prices! In the center of Amsterdam, near the park and close to many restaurants.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
