Was in Am'dam for 4 nights with 2 friends. Excellent location right on Leidesplein so it's great for sightseeing, getting boat trips, restaurants and night life. Rooms were basic, no frills, but perfectly clean and quite large. Bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was good but some things didn't get refilled so if you are late down you miss... More

We stayed 4 nights at la Boheme. We climbed 6 flights of steep stairs and 67 steps with our heavy luggage to our very basic room on the 4th floor, 80 euro a night. Washroom was okay. Breakfast adequate. Staff was exceptionally freindly and helpful. You can buy museum and Anne Frank's House tickets at the hotel to avoid long... More

We stayed here for three nights and were very glad we did. The staff were extremely accomodating, friendly, and helpful. La boheme had everything we needed, but is not at all fancy. It was very clean, central and comfortable with our own bathroom (with a good shower). Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning, too! For those reviews which complain about... More

My Dad and I stayed here for 6 nights. We were looking for affordable accommodation near the Leidseplein, in order to minimize walking to many of the major sites (Dad has bad knees). The location of this hotel is great - off the plaza and away from the bustle, but still just a few minutes to the action on foot.... More

Good place to put your head to sleep after a day of walking through Amsterdam with good breakfast to start the morning. Central to all the great museums. Easy to reach from the airport with the bus like the hotel said. Amazing staff that helped us with all the questions and needs. ( Gave us directions, printed maps, tips for... More

... happened that the first night we had to fight with a mouse in the room!!! The managers of the hotel were very sorry about this and explained that in Amsterdam a mouse in the room is not so uncommon due on how the houses in the old city are built. Now about the hotel. The managers are very friendly... More

Cracking location just a stone's throw from Leidseplein. Friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was simple but good. Basic room but we wanted for nothing. We stayed in a double on the top floor - the stairs got easier but were a bit tricky! We had rucksacks but I wouldn't fancy lugging a suitcase there. Shame about noise from the renovation of... We were really happy to pick this hotel. It had a convenient location (tram stop behind a corner) but we also walked to and from Centraal in about 10 minutes. Museums close, canal cruise stop two minutes away. Rooms small but cozy (we went to see Amsterdam city, not inside of hotel anyway :), and the staff was absolutely perfect.... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night with our three kids (21,18 and14) andhad two rooms for the five of us at a reasonable price. The people who worked there were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was better than we expected from the description "simple Dutch breakfast" and the rooms were nice and clean, apart from the smell of...
