Family run hotel, 3 minute walk to Dam Square. 10 minute walk from station. Close to all local attractions. Room was clean with view of main street, en suite was clean, sky TV in rooms.Only down side was no tea making facilities or room safe. This hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as the stairs are typical...

I booked this for my Partner and his friends for his birthday, cheap 1 night stay and the location was fab. Small standard rooms which is all your need for such a short stay. However the staff were rather cold and unfriendly. They could only check in after 2 which was fine as they could leave there luggage but even...

My friends and I we were hosted this Easter. We were a little scared by previous reviews, but the fact that we were satisfied The room was small (6 at least) but enough for us to go to sleep. The bathrooms were clean. There is a bathroom and a shower in each floor. It has a reception open 24h with...

This place is in a great location - 5-10 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal station. It's a busy street, so you can hear the cars and trams during the night, which didn't bother me too much. The staff were nice. The bathroom and toilet were kept really clean and were a decent size as well. The bedroom was a little...

A bed to sleep in for the night (let's face it who spends a holiday in the hotel room) a bathroom shared which was fine, always cleaned and never had any problems with cleanliness as it is v clean throughout. Friendly reception area and just a simple place to stay on a budget. Close to everything, about 5/10 minute walk,...

The hostel is in a great location. Close to the city center and train and tram stations. There is no common room - or there is some kind of a "restaurant" or a bar or how to call it, where you can sit down, have tea, coffee and waffles (I believe they don't serve anything else). I stayed in 8...

The rooms on the website look nothing like they do there, they didn't mention that you have to climb a giant flight of stairs that are extreamly steep and dangerous, the cleanliness off the rooms where mediocre. Clean sheets but there was mould within the radiators and Windows. The location of the hotel is grate but the quality of the...

Great location, two minutes walk from main street and RLD around five. Stayed here with three friends, for what we wanted it was fine. A room with four beds and a private bathroom which was clean although the drain smelled a bit. The steep and narrow stairs could be an issue if you have mobility issues. It was about £10...

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
