First the good: -Easy to find due to giant yellow HOTEL sign -Proximity to train station: Just a short walk -The beds were phenomenal: so soft I could cry -Good location, felt safe -Breakfast: if you're up early -cleanish -stored our luggage for our late flight THE BAD: -super rude staff: almost as if we were a burden -no elevator,... The hotel had a very good location and was surrounded by bakeries, an organic supermarket and of course coffee shops. The staff weren't pleasant and seemed to be almost annoyed that we were paying to stay there. Our very small room was in a basement with a tiny window but it was clean enough.

Although when we first arrived the staff were clearly unhappy to see us interrupt their renovation. They were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and cosy. and well worth the value we paid. Location is great so it will be noisy

Firstly, my friend and I arrived. We was told our room number and expected just to go there without being shown to our room. We also had to ask about an iron and hairdryer to borrow without them offering it to us to use. If I hadn't mentioned about the breakfast that we had paid for we wouldn't have got... More

Just returned from a brief tour of Europe and this hotel unfortunately has the dubious honor of being the worst we stayed in. First, the positives, the location is good; walking distance to red light district, train station and Anne Frank hous. The bathroom was updated. The lobby is nice and the hotel does seem to be updating in general... More

The hotel is right amongst the cafes, bars and restaurants. Although hotel is basic its kept very clean and shared bathrooms are always cleaned 2-3 times daily. staff couldn't be more helpful (we had a lost passport issue). As we didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, it suited us fine as not a luxurious place. Rooms are... More

The only thing that makes this "Poor" vs "Terrible" is that it was very clean in our room. We booked a ground floor room last year for this May. When we arrived, the hotel was undergoing major renovations. We walked into a very dust filled lobby, with construction... the furniture for the sitting area was all lumped together, and overall... Not good at all. Upon arrival we were asked to pay the full amount for the room. When we informed them that we had already paid the rate for one night as the money had been taken out of our account they insisted that that was impossible and we must pay the full amount! We asked to speak to the... More

The position is fantastic, near the center, the railway station. The room was very small at second floor without lift and very steep and dangerous scale. When I told to the receptionist that the window near my bed was very cold windy he answered me to move the bed... Move where??? No space in the room...

We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a friendly receptionist. She checked us in and gave us our room key cards. The hotel has no lift so we climbed to the top floor and opened the door to room 430 (Budget triple room) the room was clean and had an openable window (no air conditioning) and a ceiling... More
