This well located B&B is perfect for anyone staying in Amsterdam for a few days. Located a short 15 minute walk from the train station and no more than 20 minute walk/ 5 minute bike ride from all the popular Amsterdam sights the location is ideal. The rooms are nicely decorated and in typical European fashion, every centameter of space...

Simply amazing. This B&B has some rooms and, I think, we were lucky to take the camera with a fantastic view, in front of the canal. We've been in Amsterdam for 3 days and we've had 2 special breakfasts which have been made by Bartek. Bartek gives to your holyday a special touch, 'cause shares to you his advices on...

Wonderful stay at this fabulously clean B and B. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived by Christian. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and a lovely surprise to get a birthday cake at breakfast (although Christian wouldn't sing!). Nice quiet location and a short walk to the main attractions which Christian was...

I could not be more pleased with my stay at the Town House. The rooms are very modern and attractive, and the bed is large and comfortable. Christian, the owner, provides a wonderful breakfast spread with a variety of meats, cheeses and breads and also prepares eggs to your order. He is also very gracious and friendly and ready to...

We stayed for one night in June, but wish it had been a few more! The room was perfect, modern, great size and a wonderful view of a canal. Found the pin entry system great, no need to keep track of a key card. The stairs were steep but no issue for two 20-somethings. The best part of our stay...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
