I booked this visit, my seventh in wonderful Amsterdam, as a precursor to a major trip to the Arctic in December, so I had to forego my usual 4*+ hotel. The Rembrandplein is a small independent hotel, with quirkiness and personality at its forefront. Here is the good... - It's in a fantastic location in the north part of the...

We stayed there in September 2016, two rooms. Excellent location – BUT! I have traveled to Amsterdam several times every year for the last 25 years; I have never experienced a hotel as disgusting as Rembrandtplein Hotel. I do not think the room or the hotel in general had been cleaned for months! Even worse after we complained and asked...

The staff are brilliant. We stay here every year. Ideally located and ideally prices. You get what you pay for with this hotel. They have been doing improvements for quite some time. The room I stayed in last time was fine.

I booked this hotel for my sister and myself for my birthday weekend, it was quite hard to find originally but once we knew where we were going it was fine, it is in a great location with Rembrandtplein square 5 minutes away and Dam Square around 15 minutes walk, the hotel itself is not great, the bathroom is the...

Stayed here for 3 nights 23-25th June 2016. Quaint little canal street right in the centre and easily accessible to all areas of amsterdam. The staff were very welcoming and the wifi was good. The hotel stated that it was traditional and was not allowed to be modern but there was a few things that would of improved the stay....

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
