Blitzed through this strange little museum in about 10-15 minutes. I liked it though, cat paintings, pictures, posters and sculptures crammed everywhere around this old house and in the garden which you can't go in but you can see out the window. Cost 7 Euros to go round- we only saw 1 real cat in there though which my friend... More

If you love cats then you will love this place. A museum dedicated to P J Morgan a cat of great standing it seems. I have been 3 times now, this time with my husband who loved it. Every type of cat is here, sculptures, paintings, posters, furniture and even a real one lounging on the radiator cover this time.... More

If you miss your cat while you're on vacation or appreciate car sensibilities this is a fun place to visit. Also if you are interested in seeing inside one of the mansions from the "golden bend" this is the only one that is open all the time. The others I believe open once a year one a special day. It... I am very much a cat lover and I was so thrilled to get to go see the Kattenkabinet. It was filled with all kinds of cat memorabilia from different time periods. I bought a magnet and several postcards for all my friends. Too bad those beautiful cats inside couldn't be bought. They were so sweet and one very very... More

Don't like giving a bad review but there really isn't much here for the entrance fee. If you love specifically cat art it is probably very interesting but it wasn't a good plan to take 2 cat obsessed children. Like another reviewer says it is basically someones house and it seemed as if there were other exhibits (such as the... More

This is basically someones house, but I think that actually adds to its appeal. it's a collection of cat art spread over the house, with a few cats meandering about and a nice little gift shop. It's right in the centre of Amsterdam as well so you don't have to go out of your way.

I love cats and this place is like a glorious palace of wonder. It's full from floor to ceiling with quirky, unique posters and art work. The actual living breathing cats that you randomly find curled up snoozing on a chair in some corner of a room make it even better. The shops really good too.

So, as cat lovers, we knew going to this museum would be a priority on our trip. It was easy to find, not far from a tram stop. The museum has an entrance fee (I think 7 euros?) and is relatively small. But there is a pretty nice selection of cat themed art and happily, there are a few resident... More

The museum has some unique posters, paintings, artwork about cats. There are live cats there but is up to the cats whether you get to meet them. I was lucky enough to meet two and one of them was a gorgeous kitten. I would definitely visit again.

This cat museum in a house off the main road is dedicated to art featuring cats. Founded in the memory of JP Morgan (a cat), it is quaint, quirky, and fun. Posters, paintings, sculptures are everywhere as you wind through the rooms. Not large and a little expensive for a small museum but definitely enjoyed.
