This is a fabulous hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam between Central Station and Amsterdam South (WTC). Whenever I need a location for a business meeting in Amsterdam the restaurant / lounge in the Conservatorium is my first choice. It's upscale business yet comfortable. It's lively yet you can actually have a conversation. There is the choice of a...

The Conservatorium Hotel is unlike any other hotel I've ever been to. I can't sing enough praises about this place. I've stayed here twice now - once in May '15 and once in May '16. Both times were perfect. The level of service rivals the best of the best. The design in this hotel is surprising and grand. The food,...

This hotel is unique in every way. The service is world class and it is easy to see that the owners have wanted to make their marks on Amsterdam's hotel scene. In all likelihood the best hotel in Amsterdam. Each room is individual and with fine Dutch and Scandinavian designs. Has become one of my favourite business hotels in the...

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the hotel and room clean and beautiful and food amazing (the veal cheek in particular). I was alone on a business trip but can't wait to go back with my family and stay at the Conservatorium.

From the very second we came across the staff, you knew you were in very trusty hands- A real plus after very long day of flying around until final arrival in Amsterdam. The bell boy immediately paged the reception representative, so we were welcomed by name, instantly at the desk. This hotel staff really knows what customer service experience is...

It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. The combination of an old classic building with modern decor is extremely unique and successful. Rooms are big and very luxury. Food and service complete the perfect image of this hotel

I stayed in one of the smaller suites at the Conservatorium for a weekend. I find it a rarity that the metropolitan luxury hotels meet the expectations, but this one definitely did. The guest rooms are spotless, and the general design of the hotel is flawless, and includes some small and unique shops. The breakfast does not have the largest...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
