I stayed at the hotel on the 21st of January and it was Fantastic. I had a warm welcome from the doormen and they guided me to the reception, where the check in was as warm and done by lovely Marieke. Michiel insisted to bring my luggage to the room even thought it was a small bag. He brought is... More

Walking around the area, we decide to enter and visit the Conservatorium hotel. We receive a warm welcome from the front office team and especially Folker, who kindly offered us a private tour; showing us rooms, suites and public areas! Waou ! What a beautiful historical property...Very professional, welcoming and passionate. We had a brilliant time thanks to Folker. We... More

Having previously only had drinks at the Conservatorium, I was really keen to stay given it's great location and contemporary style which is very different from other Amsterdam Hotels. Overall it's a very stylish and fun hotel but some of the basics need to be ironed out. We had a junior suite which was stylish and spacious with a great... More

We stayed here for a weekend and I have to commend this hotel for having one of the most beautiful properties ever. The old conservatory has been carefully renovated and old elements preserved with a new chic interior. Hats off to the design team. Truly magnificent. We had a corner duplex suite that overlooked the square. The front desk staff... More

I liked the building, the design and the ambience. We ate at Tafioki and had the 4 course option. Delicious. Gym is also great, spacy. My room on 7th floor was a delight. Nice hotel , just very pricey.

We returned yesterday from a 4 night stay at the Conservatorium with our 9 year old son. Not knowing Amsterdam, we were pleased to arrive and see what a great location it was in, a short walk to many of the big museums and an easy walk or tram ride to other areas of the city. We had a Grand... More

We traveled with our 1 year old child and had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We were relatively high maintenance because of extra requests related to our child, but they took care of everything with a smile. They made room in the mini bar fridge for our daughter's milk, provided a good crib, gave more than one toy, crayons,... More

Amazing hotel! By all means the best hotel I've ever stayed in Amsterdam. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive, the rooms are stunning and comfortable. It's a tasty luxury in the heart of Amsterdam. Located steps away from the Museum Square, it's right in the centre of Amsterdam. Would definitely return.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
