The hotel staff was wonderful! Everyone from checkin to room service. Sigourney was wonderful at the brasserie! We had such a lovely experience! I would definitely recommend staying and dinning at Conservatorium.

Hotel's Favorite
After staying at the Andaz Amsterdam and W Amsterdam, we stayed 3 nights at the Conservatorium to correspond with our museum visits (Van Gogh, Moco, and Rijksmuseum). Wow, this hotel perfectly located right next to the museums - I can see a museum from our floor to ceiling windows. Our suite has breathtaking views, comfortable amenities and the service is top notch. Our suite was nicer and more roomier than both the Andaz and W. The W Amsterdam was the worst W I have been to (I wrote a separate review for W Amsterdam). The Andaz on the canal was charming and great for shopping and exploring central Amsterdam. However, the Conservatorium is top notch. Highly recommend staying here.

I’m giving this hotel a 5 because it’s a gorgeous hotel. Room was amazing. Majority of the staff was great but a few of the people we dealt with had very stuck up and snooty attitudes that it ruined a day of our trip. The hotel made a few mistakes. In the beginning they couldn’t even apologize. Their words were that they messed up but let’s not talk about the past and they will fix it. After a few hours they fixed nothing and I get attitude from this snooty lady who said she was the manager. I should’ve remembered names. I was never treated that was in any hotel especially one this fancy and expensive. After the way she spoke to me another person from the hotel staff walked over and apologized and even said we did nothing wrong and these mistakes were 100% the hotels mess up. I just ignored these people from the staff for the rest of my trip as we did not want to get upset again. Other people we spoke with said the same about the stuck up staff and I hope this hotel reads these reviews. For a 5 star hotel that is that gorgeous and expensive they should treat their guests respectfully and be thankful we are staying there not the other way around. There were a few people from the staff that understood this and were amazing. Besides for these bad few hours at the hotel our 5 day trip to Amsterdam was amazing. The hotel is beautiful. Room was amazing. Food and drinks were great. Great location. So I’m still giving this hotel a top score even though it’s hurts a bit. For our next trip to Amsterdam i will probably give another top hotel a try as I wouldn’t want to be treated like that again but I do recommend this hotel for how beautiful it is. I just hope they treat the next guest with the respect they deserve.

It would be hard to overstate how special this hotel is. First off, the hotel as a whole is gorgeous and immaculately maintained, from the glass-domed lobby and restaurant, to the high-ceilinged hallways, to the beautiful and beautifully appointed rooms. The breakfast in the lobby is fantastic and not to be missed. I very much wanted to ask for the chef's secret for making the American Pancakes so fluffy, and the eggs Florentine were delicious. But what really made our weeklong stay outstanding was the staff. Friendly is an understatement. From Rafael, who greeted us upon arriving and arranged cars when we needed; to Charlize and Max at the front desk who checked us in and gave us some great tips about things to see, and Charlize's help familiarizing us with all of our room's features; to Marc at the concierge desk, who was a huge help arranging logistics to meet up with our daughter who was arriving in Amsterdam separately and tinkering with some train reservations for a quick trip to Bruges and Ghent; to the housekeeping and room service staffs whose services were impeccable. We can't wait to return to the hotel...and hopefully see the tulips in bloom next time.

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The service was first class! Delicious breakfasts, of Which Collette is a wonderful host and very genuine person. All there want you to have the best experience ever! Great rooms. They are very quiet. We had a view of the street and didn’t hear anything! You must stay here! It’s very close to the museums and you can walk everywhere from here! We will back here when In Amsterdam!

We’ve spent 5 wonderful (and rainy) days in Amsterdam. Our time was made that more special by staying at the Conservatorium. From the moment we arrived to the minute we departed, everyone at the hotel made us feel very comfortable by meeting and often exceeding all of our needs. From our room to the level of service… impeccable. No one epitomized this more than Barbora. She always met us with such a warm and loving smile. She was remarkably attentive. She represented all of the best of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.
