The hotel is old, charming but the bedroom is a little noisy. The bathroom is good to Europe. Next to great places. You can walk to go to almost everywhere but if you want to go by tram is easy too. The staffs are nice and the breakfast are good enough.

This hotel has the most welcoming staff I have ever come across abroad. The hotel is beautiful and the bathrooms were my favourite thing. The stairs are quite steep, the lift is fully functioning though! The only problem I had was that the breakfast was average, but I guess that is what it is for the price you pay! Defiantly... More

what do you expect for £130 a night ,definitely not a shoe box sized room ,the widest part was 2.4 metre down to 2 metre at the bed end and in the small gap between the bed and the wall was a non functioning radiator and a wall mounted television for you to walk into. all in all a place... More

I was so unimpressed with this dive of a hotel. They told us breakfast was served until 1030, when we showed up at 1002 am most everything was put away. They said no we close at 1000, obviously it was closed before then. So I watched as she manhandled all the bread rolls to save for the next day. As... More

This small hotel has four floors with lift. Rooms and bathrooms are also small but very clean. The reception staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok, with good choice and good food. The only negative aspect is that rooms are overpriced (paid about 125Eur per night for a double) because of hotel location close to Leidseplein-square with many... More

Stayed in AMS for three nights, chose the hotel due to location - Leidseplein is right around the corner. The rates are Ok for AMS in the summer, the rooms are small, but rooms in Amsterdam are all small, especially at this price point. I noticed one review stating the stairs are precipitous. True. Suitable only for mountain goats, happily... More

Stayed for one night. On the plus side, the hotel is nicely situated, relatively near the centre. The breakfast was pretty good, and the staff were helpful. The handing in of keys that other reviewers have mentioned was no problem- it is a bit old fashioned but no issue. There is a room safe. The room was small and looked... More

Nice little hotel, rooms were small but comfy and had everything we needed. Breakfast included was really nice and staff were very helpful. All on top of a reasonable price too. Would definitely return to this hotel as it's also a decent location

It's a small building with small rooms. But there's a lift, very important when you're tired. The room was incredible small and incredible cozy! The bathroom is, let's say, inside the room: at least, the sink is in the room. But the breakfast is honest and you can always buy some nice gouda cheese. No fridge but the weather is... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
