Look no further , if you are looking for a clean , friendly hotel in a great location .. as The Hotel Clemens ticks all of those boxes. In addition to this it is one of the most friendly and accommodating hotels that I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. They truly can not do enough for you... More

Our stay at Hotel Clemens was nice but really not what we were looking for. I give the hotel 4 stars because they really do everything right as far as service. The problem is their hotel rooms are just very small and the long stairs more difficult than I expected. If you don’t mind the small rooms and stairs, then... More

Had a one night solo stay at Hotel Clemens. The structure of the hotel was novel to me, typical of Amsterdam type. Except for the fact that you need to climb up a little bit and that the solo room was a bit small, the staff provided excellent service and really wished to help you if you were in dire... More

The Clemens Hotel is fab. The staff are warm and kind and make you feel immediately at home. After negotiating the stairs which are quite steep we were invited to sit on the balcony and offered complimentary drinks before being shown to our room which was scrupulously clean. The beds are luxuriously comfy ensuring a restful nights sleep. The breakfast... More

Read the reviews, do the research, and if this is still the place for you, you'll love it! Pros: - Amazing Staff - Delicious Breakfast - Ideal Location - Balcony - Greeted upon check in with a cold drink and a seat on the balcony while your suitcase is brought to your room Cons: - Seriously steep and narrow staircase... My stay at Hotel Clemens was my first solo stay in a hotel, and it was amazing! From the moment I arrived, the staff were so nice and accommodating, bringing my luggage up and down the steep stairs for me, offering me a free drink when I arrived as well as when I checked out, always greeting me when I... Dont know how to start... but if you go to Amsterdam try this option, dont think it twice... not only the hotel is well placed and near everything you could imagine (from a tourist point of view off course) but the service is the best you can find... there is no word to describe... when we arrive the guy in... Small room & steep stairs, but friendly & helpful staff in excellent location a block or two from Dam Square & Ann Frank house. Good continental breakfast.Staff assisted with air boarding pass, answered questions about tourist sites & directions, called taxi for airport delivery, etc. We would gladly stay there again.

The hotel is fabulous. Other reviews accurately describe location and rooms. Beautiful linens! Nice bathrooms, with great water pressure and new fixtures. 15 min walk (with our luggage) from Centraal Stn which is where most people arrive - whether they fly or train in. The hotel is on a second floor so there is a steep flight of stairs but... More

The Clemens is a very cute, very centrally-located hotel. The staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating and the place is immaculately clean. The rooms are quite small, but that's fairly typical in most hotels in Amsterdam. The hotel does have a very nice lobby and breakfast room, both of which function as public space during the day, so it really... More
