Max Brown Canal District is situated in three monumental Amsterdam canal houses with an amazing 300-year old facade, at the corner of Amsterdam’s most famous canals, the Herengracht & the Brouwersgracht. The three canal houses in which Max Brown is located have seen a great amount of different owners and users over the three centuries of their existence. Now it’s time for our guests of Max Brown to call these beautiful canal houses their home away from home in Amsterdam.

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Fantastic location, less than 10 mins walk from the station and close to all the sights of the city. We were upgraded to a canal view room which was appreciated. Room was quite small but well kitted out with all the necessary bits. Comfy bed to come back too after a day

Room 110 is a tiny room at the top with a 76cms bed against a wall, no cupboards, no bedside light and lavatory across the corridor through another door although private. It says ok for 1 night I stayed 3 and when booked we were not told it was outside the room.

Set along one of the main canals - heartbreakingly beautiful part of the city. Absolutely picture post card. Inside it is cheerful and compact. The staff are very friendly and invested in making sure you are happy. We paid extra for a canal view. Glad we did because the view was

My sister and I booked a twin room but were given a double. Although there were two single beds we were told that even if they could be pulled apart there was no single bedding that could be used. We were eventually given a room where we could pull the single beds apart, but it

I can't fault this hotel, or it's staff, which I pretty much said so in the title. The Max Brown is a ten minute walk from Amsterdam Centraal (The train station), and pretty much anywhere is accessible by foot making this hotel perfect to visit the sights, bars, restaurants,

We had cases and had plenty of room to hide them away ( we often store them under the bed but did not need too here). Shower room was great as it had areally big shower. Enjoy the hotel is will be different from the regular chain hotels and the staff are all helpful. Really great restaurants nearby where locals eat. Easy to get to hotel with luggage from central station too.

what is the taxi fare from the airport
A taxi would be around 40-45 euro (25 minutes). There is a direct train going from Schiphol to Amsterdam Central for €5 per person (15 minutes) and a 7 minute walk to the hotel.

From wherever Viking docks, take a taxi to Max Brown. It’s simpler even if you could walk with luggage. Canal boats tours should pick you up in front of the hotel. From the hotel you can walk with luggage to Central train station, which will take you directly to Schiphol. A beautiful, walkable city awaits you. Enjoy.
