This place is just perfect. Very clean, great friendly staff, great view, brilliant location. I loved everything about it. I cannot thank the staff enough. The only reason this has one star is its a traditional house with steep steps and no lift but it gets a 5 stars from me ......Thankyou for a wonderful stay...see you next year 😘

I stayed here at the beginning of November for three nights with my sister. It was an absolutely perfect location, right on the canal, quiet but walkable to all the main attractions. We walked to central Syston with bags on the way back, and it took us about 20 minutes. The b and b was great. Lovely spacious twin room,... More

It was our pleasure to stay in the Van Gogh suite on Prinsenboot, a canal boat in Amsterdam. It is large, clean and an absolute delight. I took one star off, however, as there is a common stairway between 2 suites and we had several nights where we were awakened by the other party very late at night noisily coming... More

Stayed here for two nights this week didn't know what I was booking as it was late and quite cheap. Would stay again next time I'm in Amsterdam just what you need clean and pleasant stairs were no problem and was close to everywhere

My son and I stayed here this summer and it was the first stop on our European tour of 5 1/2 weeks! The owners were very helpful, giving us directions to their place, which tram to take and when we arrived they lifted my backpack all the way up to our floor by a large hook! We had an ensuite... Amsterdam was the first part of our Euro trip & wooooow, it is a MUST any traveler! Prinsenhof is perfectly placed for sightseeing. The tram is literally outside your doorstep which is what you need - and what a pretty street it is, right on a canal. The breakfasts were just right - eggs, cold meats, toast, cheese, fruit etc... We stayed in the front attic room, which had beautiful canal views from the window sill (you climbed a ladder to sit on the sill). Super steep stairs though, so difficult to get luggage to the room (the hook doesn't go to the top). Good breakfast - amazing coffee.

We have always stayed in this hotel on our annual visits to Amsterdam as it is in a lovely, canalside, upmarket location, close to a tram stop and within walking distance of everywhere. After a break of 6 years we returned to find it just as good as we remembered it. The rooms have been updated and are bright and... More

Despite being located in the center of Amsterdam, this small hotel is quiet and restful. Like many Dutch houses, it has VERY steep staircases! Unlike any other Dutch house I've been in, it has a winch to haul suitcases upstairs! The managers are very pleasant and helpful, and a €5 breakfast buffet is available. As I was on a foodie... General cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding, light open bedroom with canal view was nice to arrive to. Friendly staff and would definitely return for another short break. Maybe add a mini fridge to the rooms to store bottled water and so on. Great stay!
