Two times in this hotel in July. Service is overall acceptable. Rooms are extremely small. Some room windows are just attaching to the garbage containers outside. Very stuffy. No air conditioning at all in summer.

We ordered the hotel because of its very short distance from the central station. The entire hotel radiates train vibes, like the crossing gate in the restaurant! Despite its central location, most rooms are separated from the busy Prins Hendrikkade street, and pleasantly quiet, clean and sober. Which is good, because the building is on the Heritage list and not... More

Spotlessly clean, friendly and welcoming hotel with a brilliant central location, literally over the road from Amsterdam Centraal Station and all facilities/connections. Down side is the noise from the transport (cars, bikes, boats, busses, trams and trains) and pedestrian crossings but the view is sensational - back rooms are quieter.

For the money spent, time of year and location the hotel was lovely however the price certainly reflects the type of hotel. It is very basic and room was very pokey with not a huge amount to talk about. We where given a room on the ground floor, directly next to the lift, down the hall from the toilet and... More

This hotel is right across the street from Amsterdam Central Station. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower. They do have breakfast in the train themed restaurant in the morning. The staff were very nice and helpful. They have an elevator.

I really liked staying here. The room was strange. As they told me "it was the smallest room with the largest bathroom." They weren't kidding. But it was just me so I didn't care. The room was clean and quiet. The location was great and right next to a grocery store. Walking distance to everything and a great deal. The... More

Great location. Interesting train theme. Breakfast simple but adequate. Very friendly staff especially 'Ali' the manager. Rooms which face the room are very noisy all the time which is okay if you like watching what is going on outside. We stayed during a particularly warm and muggy period. Room could have done with some sort of aircon. There was a... More

Can't beat the location directly across the street from Centraal Station. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Even offered an early breakfast on my departure morning. Single room was small but very adequate for one person. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Hotels in Amsterdam are pricey in the summer, but this hotel was worth the price. Very close to all amenities in Amsterdam & staff went out of their way to be helpful. ! ( made breakfast available early on last day due to early flight)'

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
