Very friendly staff, nice rooms, as my room wasn't ready at 2 o'clock they gave me a other one which was bigger and I didn't had to pay extra. Really love the lobby as it's familiar has a nice style. Highly recommended !

Friendly staff and clean rooms, 5 minutes walk to the Van Gogh Museum. A tram to to the city centre is close and runs often. Posh area. Good Restaurants nearby. Room could have an extra table next to the bed.

This was my second visit to Hotel The Neighbour's Magnolia. The first time I loved it, I stayed in the Standard Single which was overlooking the garden which was lovely and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. This second trip I booked the Single Superior, which wasn't as nice, it was overlooking the main street, it felt more closed in... More

Booked one night and within minutes of meeting the staff and seeing the room, we booked two more nights. The breakfast was small but good. You can rent bikes which was a blast, a little daunting but doable. The staff was superb. Laundry was fairly inexpensive. No ac but comfy beds and beautiful courtyard outside the inner rooms. Located in... More

great service, super friendly team, always willing to help and answer any questions and very clean!! The location is also very good, residential, but yet close to the city center. Will definitely go back, whenever I get the chance to visit Amsterdam again.

No elevator. Very steep winding spiral stairs; minimal breakfast choices--eat out. Staff was very helpful. Good location on tram#2 and a nice walk to the Museum district and the big park. Not recommended for older travelers.

Pretty small hotel off the beaten track of central Amsterdam, in a quiet neighbourhood 10 minute walk from the museums and vondelpark. Rooms are small but very clean and well appointed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Optional breakfast buffet with nice selection. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Close to tramlines and an easy walk to town. Would definitely stay... More

It's a pity to loose 10% discount already promised my hotel management for "how I like this hotel"..., but I was really dissapoined with their incompetence and tricks with my credit cards: first they charged my euros account in roubles (what for?), then charged same amount in euros from dollar card (?!) afterwards return roubles, but to dollar account! My friend and I booked this on the very same day because of the previous booking that was disastrous. We booked it online at 10 and we arrived at noon. The service was excellent, the reception staff friendly and helpful, gave us info about what to do, where to go etc... they have a bike rental service too and they... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
