We stayed at the 5-room Hotel IX Amsterdam in the middle of the 9 Streets district during our two-week European vacation. We stayed in the Berenstraat suite, with a separate bedroom and living area. The rooms were well-stocked and included nice treats in the complementary mini-bar. The location is in the middle of a shopping district that gets a bunch... More

Five nights here gave us a great base from which to walk to the museums, and explore the trendy Nine Streets, and Jordaan areas. Huidenstraat suite overlooked a quiet courtyard, away from the noisier street side. Everything was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated in a modern European idiom, and provided a fridge with complimentary drinks, good quality organic toiletries, and an... More

I don't exactly remember how I found Hotel IX. I sometimes find places through a website aggregator, sometimes through TA, sometimes on Google Maps, and also by word of mouth. I am pretty sure I found it on Google maps and loved the website. The reviews helped seal the deal. Once I made my reservation, the proprietors Susan and Merel... More

A lovely property in a central location that is close to all of Amsterdams attractions. only a fwe minutes walk from Dam Square. The accommodation was immaculate and better than described. Will be letting friends know and if we're back in Amsterdam again I will be looking to stay here again.

I'm just finishing my 6 night here, and it's awesome. Use to staying in big name hotels, I was very hesitant to stay at a boutique hotel. I'm so happy I went through with it, such a unique experience! I will definitely try to stay here again , if it's not completely sold out.

My husband and I came to Amsterdam to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and first mini break without the kids. The cost of living generally seems to have rocketed in Amsterdam, so the cost at just over £200 a night was a lot compared to what we'd pay back in England, but it was definitely worth it! Even during... More

Looking for a nice centrally located private place - this was the one. Everything in walking distance. Took the Suite with the balcony which was just perfect! Susan, one of the managers was seen daily and always so helpful. The place is 100% clean and tidy.

This hotel was just amazing for my partner and I's 2 night stay in Amsterdam. It is located on the 9 streets close to shops, restaurants, and is a short walk to the center and the red light district. The streets stayed quiet at night, so we felt very safe here. Our room was beautiful and very clean! The bed... More

Absolutely the finest experience we had during our two week European adventure. Susan & Merel have done a superb job renovating this historic space. We stayed in the Wolvenstraat Suite, and wish we could bring the room home with us. It was spacious & architecturally interesting. Our refrigerator was fully stocked for our enjoyment at no additional charge, and the... More

Amazing high tech secure apartment ( Berenstraat ) with high end furnishings/ fixtures and an outside terrace with sunshine! Wi Fi and a very generous selection of fridge drinks with coffees and teas and bathroom treats - all included! Susan and Merel have a "we can do anything to help" approach as hosts and my goodness that's true! Thank you... More
