Nice, clean comfortable place to stay. The bed was one of the most comfortable during our European trip. Breakfast was ok, a bit limited in selection, pancakes were very nice. Location is good, close to museums and good tram access to the city centre. Whilst it is nice and comfortable, I'm not sure why it's ranked so high on TripAdvisor,... More

The Hotel Fita is a small hotel a block from the Van Gogh Museum. It's a convenient location for several sights and museums. It is also just a block from a very high end shopping street. There are several good restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel itself is very nice. The breakfast was good as well. Just a... More

If you are an art enthusiast and want to.visit the Van Gogh and Rijmuseum than this is the place to stay. Has an elevator which was important for us seniors with luggage for a Riverboat cruise. Good breakfast included in price. Needed some help to get Wifi going but did work. Also near a large grocery for lunch fixings. Overall... More

Such a friendly staff in a nice hotel. The location can be seen as one of the best locations in Amsterdam. In direct proximity of the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, Stedelijk museum, Vondelpark, PC Hooftstraat and more.

I was very much satisfied with this hotel, including their flawless service. Room size was not so big, but was just right for one person. I also loved the dutch pancakes they provided us for breakfast! Simply loved them. It was quiet at night which i liked. Would have been even better if there were a fridge in the room,... More

Great location, spacious, recently renovated room with a big floor to ceiling window with a step out balcony. Free breakfast with lots of variety. Staff was very helpful in many ways. Noisy during the day, since located right next to a school. Don't expect to take a nap during the day. No refrigerator. No onsite parking.

Stayed 3 nights in one of the larger rooms which looks out over pedestrain street/school yard. The accommodations were very nice and clean. The breakfast was very good and offered a very nice variety from croissants to cereal to scrambled eggs and bacon. Don't forget to ask for the crepes! Exceptionally good! We had the room that looked out over... More

Hotel Fita is a little gem. It is a stone's throw away from the major museums. It is also very close to tram and bus stops and restaurants. Staff is ever helpful. It is a small and very friendly hotel that provides extraordinary service. I had an excellent time there. Rudrangshu Mukherjee

Small but well appointed room. Located on a quiet street just blocks from major arteries and great public transportation. Family owned and operated. Great breakfast. Don't pass up the"pancakes". Delicious!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
