The hotel had a cozy atmosphere and was in walking distance to the Museumkwartier. If you don’t mind walking you could get to wherever in the city centre, and it isn’t located in a busy street. However, I’m happy we hadn’t planned here for a longer visit. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and an unidentifiable noise kept bothering us throughout the night. The polite staff and location within the city sort of made up for the average sleeping conditions, and for the price and length of our stay it was perfectly acceptable.

We stayed at the Owl Hotel for six nights. The location was in the museum quarter but it was walkable to the entire city and there was a tram a block away. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was really good. There were even fresh scrambled eggs and a variety of other meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, sweets, breads, fruits, great coffee and orange juice. Everything was fresh and displayed beautifully. The best part of this hotel is the people who worked there. Michelle, Peter and Gee were so very helpful in every way -- places to eat, things to see, ground transportation and telling us about their country and culture. When we left, it was like saying good by to family. If we ever visit Amsterdam again, The Owl Hotel will be our choice!

Location was excellent. Short walk to major museums, trams, cafes and restaurants. Bus from airport stops very nearby. Has an elevator -- many places in Amsterdam don't. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was available at an extra charge which I did not choose but I greatly appreciated the free coffee and tea available all day in breakfast room to all guests. The price was good compared to other options in Amsterdam. I would stay here again.

No real complaints but a few things that were a little less than ideal though not a problem: single room was very small, mattress was not very firm, phone in room did not always work, not enough working electrical sockets in the room so I couldn't charge my phone and have the TV on at the same time.

Great little hotel in a nice quiet location. Stayed for a weekend and this hotel was ideal for resting up after a long day exploring Amsterdam. The receptionist was very helpful with directions ect. and we arrived at 9am hoping to store our luggage until check-in and to our surprise the room was ready!
The room itself was a little small but warm and clean, decent sized bathroom with shower and bath.
We didn't pre pay for the breakfast when booking but did pay the €14 each on the second morning and it was worth it, eat as much as you like, scrambled eggs, toasts, continental with good coffee.
Theres some useful vending machines in the reception area too although there is a Spar shop a 5 minute walk around the corner.
Taxi from the airport to the hotel was 15-20 mins and cost €57.
Walking from the hotel to centre of Amsterdam/Dam square took us around 20-30 minutes at a sightseeing pace.
Would definitely stay here again, good value for money and a peaceful location to escape too at the end of a busy day.

We stayed two nights in a 3-bed-room for a weekend. The location of the hotel is just perfect to visit the city center as well as the park nearby. The bus station of the bus to the airport is also nearby.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean. However, the place is not the newest and some parts of the furniture are quite worn. Still the prices during summer season are quite high (which unfortunately is the case for every hotel in Amsterdam, so the hotel is not to blame for this)

The hotel is in the museum district and close to the big public park. But we walked to most of the central parts from here.
Service was great giving us advise on parking which saved 200 € by taking the car to a park and ride place.
And in general always smiling and making conversation.
The hotel is not new and modern but quirky and charming which my son wanted.
I was sorry there was not a/c the first night with 30 degrees but we had the window open. And it was surprisingly quit outside.
Also there were no fridge or coffee machine in the room. But we had a great stay and still enjoyed.

The Owl Hotel was a great location, easy to get to the museum district, canal tours, and the Leiden Square (Leidseplein) for lots of restaurants and clubs. Gui and Michelle were great for local recommendations that made our visit special. A great spot to stay in Amsterdam.

My partner and I spent 4 nights in this hotel and would highly recommend it. The room was very clean, all the staff were so friendly, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Being British, we missed having no kettle in the room, but this was soon remedied, and we were happily drinking tea!

The continental breakfast was super too, and always being refreshed.

The hotel is also very central to various tourist attractions, as well as close to various tram lines.

We shall be back, to enjoy this lovely city.

This was our second stay at this hotel, stayed 4 nights this time. The room wasn't huge, but it was comfortable enough for two. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good, lots of choices, and the staff worked really hard to keep everything stocked. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. A pleasure to stay here, will stay again next time we're in Amsterdam.

This was perfect hotel stay. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff really made the stay memorable. Rooms are minimal but very comfortable and beautifully clean, we slept well here. The hotel is central but just set off busy streets being peaceful and quiet. Breakfast was freshly served and had nice dining area. We would definitely recommend this hotel and return here if going back to Amsterdam.
