We stayed in the Prinsengracht for a conference in February 2006. Our room was on the top floor with quite old furniture, there were no such extra things like shampoo in the bathroom. Also the mattress was really old and not very comfortable. The bed was quite small, more like a bed for one person. We stayed one day longer... More

As most reviewers have mentioned, this hotel is well situated. But then, the centre of Amsterdam is so small that a hotel would have to be quite far out of the centre to be be badly situated. It is particularly close to the main art galleries and all the tourist attractions can be reached on foot. When we arrived we... More

Not a lot to say about this one. It was okay. Room was small but pleasantly situated overlooking a garden. Quiet room, tiny shower, nice old building. Overall not bad at all, but maybe a bit expensive for the hospitality. Breakfast maybe a bit boring, but adequate. Lift is nice addition. No air conditioning in our room but radiators for... More

I stayed for two nights at the Hampshire Inn Prinsengracht Hotel (seems to go by both names) for around $80EURO per night including breakfast (ratestogo.com). In general, I was quite happy with my stay there. While the room was small, I didn't have any problems with the presentation, and it had a lovely big window at end of my bed... More

We booked this hotel at the last minute and expectations were not particularly high. We were prepared for the fact that the rooms seemed rather basic from the pics on the hotels website and read some of the comments on here before we left. Unfortunately, there just wasn't much accommodation still available in Amsterdam so we opted for this. We... More

We stayed here from 31st March to 4th April. We were expecting small from other reviews but really dissappointed with how small the room & shower were. Also no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. This was surprising for a 3* hotel. The staff were pleasant although not in an over the top way. Also the weather was fantastic on... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel March 8-13, 2005. Since we have never stayed in a 3-star hotel before, my husband & I were not quite sure what to expect. However, we decided to try this place because of the great reviews we have read here. Our initial impression of the place is good. The hotel is located... More

I always read the reviews on Tripadvisor before booking a hotel in a town or city I am not familiar with. Generally I have found the tripadvisor reviews to be most helpful. However on this occasion I cannot agree with the earlier reviews. My room was very small, had cheap nylon carpets and walls that had been overpainted a few... More

This charming hotel is in an excellent location, 5 minutes from the Rembrandtsplein & overlooking the Prinsengracht canal. There is a small but pretty & peaceful garden where breakfast can be taken, weather permitting. The rooms are small but adequate & the staff very friendly & helpful. One thing to be aware of is that being near a canal, there... More

I have stayed at the Hotel Prinsengracht 3 times over the last 2 years, and plan to stay there again in December of this year. I understand that it is now part of the Hampshire Hotel Group, which can only add to its already stellar reputation, in my opinion. Beautiful location, beautiful hotel and, most of all, an incredibly warm... More
