This is a small intimate, historic and very atmospheric hotel, filled with beautiful furniture and objects but not at all formal. The hotelier went out of his way to make us feel welcome. There were flowers in the room when we arrived and breakfast was brought up to the room daily. The service was faultless. The hotel is in a... More

This a fabulous location in the beautiful canal district. Easy to walk everywhere from here. Gunter is very helpful if you ask for things and friendly. It is a great place if you are expecting a traditional house in great location - somewhere between a B&B and a room in a house. Not a traditional hotel. Get a room with... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in July 2016. I chose this hotel because I wanted somewhere with character and we were not disappointed. We stayed in Canal view room 6 which was on the first floor. The room was fantastically decorated, exactly as in the pictures. The bed was comfy and the room was a reasonable size,... More

We stayed here for one week in July 2016. The location was perfect for us - quiet but an easy walk to just about everywhere. Staff was helpful and kind. It's difficult to get a large suitcase up the stairs, but worth the effort! This was our second time here and we'd love to come back. Great value as well.... More

Exactly as presented. A wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam. Our canal view room was totally enjoyable. The location was quiet and convenient. Climbing the narrow steep stairs is totally worth the effort.
