Safe, warm, friendly, cheap, well located, good food, hot water and always busy. If youre going to enjoy Amsterdams night life and cafe culture, you probably wont want much from your hotel but the Hans Brinker provided everything i needed. Having returned five times, it hasnt changed and ill always come back for more.

It's really not as bad as it makes itself out to be. Most of the reason I stayed here is because I thought their advertisement was funny. The location is fantastic. It's a party hostel for sure, so if you're looking for quiet and a peaceful night of sleep, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want a...

I stayed one night, saturday, in the hostel. There is a big dance floor with a bar that didn't let me rest until 4 a.m approx. Moreover if you are unlucky enough to get a basement room, forget about a good rest. By the other hand, the hostel is well located, 12 mins on foot from the red district. If...

Hi, sorry to hear you haven’t had a good sleep staying with us… If you stay with us a next time, we recommend you to reserve a room on the 3th or 4th floor, where it’s more quiet. Luckily, we don’t have rooms in the basement, because indeed it would be difficult to get some sleep next to our club....

Went with my university during the Autumn however I didn't know anyone, which was better as you can do what you want whether it's going out in the early morning as there is always staff on duty who are friendly and if they're not too busy are happy to chat. The food is good and always made fresh, the rooms...

Had so much fun here!!! Big basement for parties, easy bike renting next door, met a lot of great people, super location, rooms were good and clean, backpacking walhalla in Amsterdam. A weekend you won't forget soon!!!

Stayed here as part of a Topdeck tour. This hotel bills itself as the worst hotel in the world and frankly I can believe it. The only light in our room was broken and despite asking reception to fix it, they gave us the runaround about having 2 light switches in the room (which there definitely weren't) and to make...

Hi, we’re so sorry to hear you haven’t enjoyed your stay at our hotel much. We agree with you that someone should have come with you to the room to fix the light and are really sorry to hear that this didn´t happen. If you want to, would it be possible to send us an e-mail with the details of...

This hotel obviously has low self-esteem! It's not as bad as it makes out! Good location in Amsterdam and basic fit-for-purpose rooms! And there's an awesome burger cafe right down the road and a bike tour company almost opposite!

Great place to sleepover and take a a tour round Amsterdam, to find new friends round the world in your room :) close to city centar and other sights worth seeing, i were there for New years eve in 2009 and that winter was one of the coldest in Holland but warming in the room was excellent :)

Came here on a topdeck tour. Heard a lot of things about the Hans Brinker, but it's actually pretty good. It markets itself as a budget hostel and that's what it is. The beds were comfortable, the doona was warm. The room was basic with just beds and lockers, but that's all I wanted. The room was a little bit...

they don't state that they're good; but with their great location of being close to many popular attractions, and a large sociable area, bar and even a club- you can't go wrong. breakfast making your stay cheaper. Rooms aren't the best quality- but you get what you pay for! Great quality for price!
