Booked a 6-person room with a bathroom. Room as expected, but the water smelled like sulfur/sewer/septic from the sink and toilet. We couldn't even leave the bathroom door open, otherwise the smell of rotten eggs filled the room. Told the staff, but they didn't seem concerned. Someone came in and dropped a bar of soap into the toilet. To help... More

Hi, As we are located in an old building, the sewage may smell sometimes, although the water is fresh and drinkable all times!!! Too bad though to read our staff wasn't helpful! Hans Brinker More

This is an excellent hostel, It is clean, breaKfast is good and the staff are helpful. It is a hostel and I am 57 probably by far one of the oldest there but I stayed in a 6 bed dorm with five other people whom I would imagine were under 30 for £65. This left me money to spend on... More

Stayed here with 4 other friends for a weekend in a 6 bed mixed dorm. Very basic but catered for what we needed which was a place to sleep, clean and get ready. It's definitly aimed at the younger generation and Ideal for anyone looking for a cheap and cheerful place to stay for a few nights. Only real dissapointment... More

Exactly what we needed and expected from the hostel. Basic room, with a locker for each person. It's in a very central location, close to trams if needed although everything is in walking distance. The Hans Brinker provides an included breakfast which we didn't know about until arrival - very basic but exactly what we needed as were on a... More

It is a typical youth hostel. Any student who has been to uni will know what I mean that it is cheap and basic but it's just a place to sleep. The breakfast is nothing special and the bunk beds had no ladder but it was safe and central and very sociable

Great value for money! Our hostel room was a private 3 bed; very clean, comfy beds and shower facilities were great. Free breakfast was included, and it had a great selection of hot and cold food! Dinner in the evening was great value for money, especially in such a expensive city. However, the 'club' underground was very empty (on a... More

It is a decent budget hotel with a large bar at the basement. The staff was nice and friendly and helped us out. The location is very close to the city centre and Museum square. Would definitely recommend it to others.

I've been traveling Europe for over 5 months.. This is the worst place I've stayed at. The first 2 rooms I went to had people already in my bed! (The young girl at reception was very kind and apologetic). The hostel was filthy, the beds were rock hard, the bathroom was disgusting and smelt terrible. It's the middle of summer... More

When you share a room with other guests, they can get the place messy after cleaning. We do have free wifi at our... More

We were put in this hotel by our travel agency, while the other part of our group was in the Bulldog chain. If we had chosen it of our own free will, knowing what we were getting into, it would have influenced the review, of course. The staff was unhelpful.
