Been there with a colleague of mine for couple of nights. The location is definitely nice, right in the center and quiet street but the quality of the rooms isn't that great: Two beds put together in a single person room (ok, Amsterdam isn't famous for having wide spaces but still). The window wasn't closing bringing fresh air and noise...

The Prinsen Hotel is a really friendly hotel just a stones throw from the fantastic Vondel Park and Leidseplein with its dozens of bars and eateries. Our double room was a little small but clean with a good bathroom/shower and the staff were really friendly and keen to help out with advice and directions. The breakfast buffet was good with...

I have stayed here once before about 13 years ago and was again delighted with the location ,being so close to Leidesplein. The hotel is not expensive for a 3 star hotel and although the rooms are not very big they are always clean and well presented with everything one needs especially for a short break..I would however not recommend staying...

We stayed at the Prinsen Hotel because it was proposed by Airmiles and TripAdvisor reviews seemed favourable. We were not disappointed. It proved an ideal base for our 5-day stay and, we will aim to use it if we go again to Amsterdam. Located in a quiet street, it is within walking distance of the Rijksmuseum (only a very limited...

We stayed here for two nights and got it through airmiles. Hotel staff were nice enough. We ended up staying an extra night because our flight got cancelled due to the ash cloud! Breakfast was good. Rooms a little small but everything you needed. In a good location. Overall a good stay.

I stayed with my family ( 2 adults + 2 children) for 3nights in a Quad room. From day one we had some problems with the electricity in our room....the electric connection kept tripping as and when we used the bathroom. The Hotel staff blamed some kind of Humidity in the bathroom for this tripping?????? For 2days we had this...

I stayed at Hotel Prinsen 2-5th March 2010 with my friend. Friendly and informative staff on reception. Hotel situated in lovely quiet street but right next to Leidesplein and could walk quickly to Rembrant Sq and not to far to Dam Square on foot. Room compact, but as a regular visitor to Amsterdam can say this is a regular feature...

Stayed for two nights at the Prinsen, it was booked through Air Miles, and recomended by them. The hotel itself is in a good position near the beautiful Vondel park and not far from the Rijkmuseum, Coster Diamonds ( well worth a visit) also only a five minute walk to the canal system and the cruises boats. Breakfast at the...

I am hearing impaired and have a small (6kg, 15lbs) hearing assisting service dog with impeeccable training and makes no noise. The Tourist Information Office opposite the Centraal Sta. found this place after much difficulty. The Dutch are completely discriminatory against disabled people! This hotel at least let me stay there. Of course for a E10 fee!! The room was...

This Hotel was on the whole satisfactory. The plus points are the superb location - very close to pretty much all of the things you want to do in Amsterdam (within walking distance or within short tram ride) but in a surprisingly quiet and smart street. The friendly staff is helpful. Also the nice peaceful garden at the back. The...
