Stayed for 2 nights with 4 friends. Hotel was great, clean and comfy. Close to Vondelpark and easily walkable to the main squares in Amsterdam. Breakfast was fab too and the staff were polite and helpful

No problems with the cleanliness or facilities in room - it is extremely small, but still functional. Staff at the front counter are particularly unhelpful (primarily the younger of the two blonde receptionists), and it feels like a chore when asking for something. The ladies run the front desk and also run the bar, so move between depending on the... More

Spent one night in economic room. It was really small but clean - very basic. The area is peaceful, location good but if you take a train from airport to central station as we did, it is quite long walk to hotel. However there is bus stop nearby so it is easy to catch the bus to airport. We did... More

I travel a lot on business, so I stay in various different types of hotels and have grown accustomed to what's reasonable and what isn't. The actual hotel premises is nice, clean, modern and niche. Rooms are acceptable, nice enough bed, just about enough room but would help to have somewhere other than the bed, to sit. The rooms also... More

Great location next to Vondelpark, and just a short walk to the museum area gives this hotel a central, but yet quiet location. Some of the rooms are without a/c, so make sure to ask for this while booking. The breakfeast was great and a good surprise for both my kids and parents.

This is a fabulous hotel. Located not directly in the centre of Amsterdam but in walking distance and directly near a beautiful park. A lot of museums also in walking distance as well as a "shopping mile". My room was rather small but definitely big enough for me. The bathroom was also quite small but absolutely ok and clean. Unfortunately... More

Was there for a long weekend with friends so the room was not super important but we found everything expensive so settled on a single room for 2 nights then moved to a larger room for the 3rd... well single is right... bed was along the window and the width of the room will little other floor space - bathroom... It was next to VondelPark and very short walk to the Museumplein where the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh, Concertgebouw were located. The restaurant we liked Seafood Bar was just around the corner. If you're into shopping, high end luxury stores (e.g. Brunello Cucinelli) are also close by. The room we got was 310. A little bigger than a king size bed.... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
