This is a cute hotel with small yet cozy hotel rooms. The Bathrooms are a great size. Well located, right by VondelPark. Short walking distance to lots of restaurants, bike rental, shops, transit. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Lovely small hotel very near to the Rijks, Van Gogh and other museums. Near to public transit, restaurants and a park. Amsterdam, at least in this area is very walkable though newcomers should know that besides traffic and pedestrian lanes, there are tram lanes and bicycle lanes, in total 4. Do know that even if motorized traffic is stopped for... More

The place is outside the red light distric, which is very good if u r interested in knowing other side of Amsterdam. It is near a very nice park (Vondelpark). You will be asked to pay an extra tax (in the website that I used to make the reservation says that the price included taxes). I commented on that while... More

Very friendly staff and the rooms were clean. Close to the attractions. We were able to walk to some of the museums. Only problem was we had to carry our luggage upstairs. I imagine most older hotels in Amsterdam are this way. They told us about the Seafood Bar and it was the best place to eat ever.

Stylish, well-located and quiet -- what else could you ask for a mid-price Amsterdam hotel? Breakfast offerings are generous and tasty and front desk staff super-friendly and helpful. Fellow guests were friendly, too!

My son picked this hotel for it's location, near Vondelpark, so he could go jogging but it was also close to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Trams were nearby, so we could explore the city. The room was small but the beds were comfortable.

We only stayed here for 2 nights and the location is right next to Vondelpark, the Van Gogh museum and the I amsterdam installation which is great. It is a bit of a distance (2.5-3kms) walking to the heart of Amsterdam however but well worth it. The walk allows you to find little hidden treasures in all the streets but... More

The best thing about the hotel is the location, I liked the area (near Vondelpark), it is very safe, quiet and very well connected by tram to the city centre and central train station. The room was very small but clean and confortable. I was very dissapointed because of the lack of information by the staff regarding whether or not... More

Visited this hotel in 2011, and I am still thinking about the amazing bed they had there! A nice and clean hotel room with a nice bathroom. Apart from that I can not remember anything else - but once again, that bed alone is reason enough for going back to Amsterdam...

Stayed for 2 nights with 4 friends. Hotel was great, clean and comfy. Close to Vondelpark and easily walkable to the main squares in Amsterdam. Breakfast was fab too and the staff were polite and helpful

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
