Tastefully and thoughtfully refurbished to a high standard. Friendly helpful staff and a good buffet breakfast. A little noisy on Friday and Saturday nights in room above main street but acceptable. May even buy an Esspresso machine when we get home !

We liked this hotel despite the fact that the room was small and the street outside is REALLY NOISY. We were so tired from all that wandering around the city we slept anyway. They also do a great breakfast.

I stayed for 2 nights, May 17, 18 at this delightful small hotel in downtown Amsterdam. My room 106 on the first floor was very smart and well designed. Most importantly, the large double bed are extremely comfortable and, although the bathroom was not that big, the wet room style rain shower was huge. There were lots of towels and...

Our room 308 clean and modern, comfortable, but European-small. Easy walking distance to the Heineken brewery, museum plaza, flower market, numerous other museums and galleries. Only slightly further, still walkable, many other attractions such as the Red Light District. We didn't try the attached Senses restaurant but it looked wonderful, if a little pricey for our budget. Probably 100 more...

Honestly I did not enjoy my stay in The Albus! The hotel is centrally located, 3 minutes walk from Spui and 2 minutes walk from Rembrandt Plein, only Tram line 24 pass in front of the hotel .. other lines stops 3 or 4 minutes away. On the other hand, when while checking in, they refused to take a 500...

Dear Haney, Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback with us. You are totally correct regarding the airco system. It should be working at the 1st of May only the city Amsterdam cancelled a very important moment in this proces. We are working hard to upgrade our product but we have to deal with other authorities. I loved this room. It was clean & modern. The shower was large, and the bed was super comfortable. Not the cheapest place you could stay, but definately worth the $200+ price tag for a European hotel.

Changed rooms but even high in the back was pretty loud. Next time I would find a cheaper place near a metro station further out. Our room has no AC, but the balcony door gives cool air if it's cooler outside

We booked this hotel as part of an Expedia package and it was a pleasant place to stay. Pros: 1. Superior location. Everything is walkable and the tram is just outside if you are tired of walking! 2. Very clean room with comfortable bed 3. Quiet IF you get a room in the back on a higher floor Cons: 1....

Very helpful staff, impeccably clean room, perfect location - near everything.... and we did not need a tram/subway ticket because everything was in a 10-20 minute walking range. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!!

Just back from a mini break away. A beautiful hotel in a very good central location however, the noise was awful. I like busy but I felt like I was sleeping in the middle of the street. Window was broken on first night which didn't help but was fixed quickly the following day. Did make a huge amount of difference....
