Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Excellent location, fantastic staff and clean, comfy rooms. Would recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Just slightly outside of the city centre, reduces noise but keeps you close. Great value for the price.

From the moment we arrived we were treated wonderfully! We arrived from the US in the early morning hours...knowing our checkin was later that afternoon, just planning on leaving our bags and heading out to explore...but the amazing team was able to find one lone room that happened to be available and they allowed us to take the room! What an awesome treat to be able to go to our room, get settled, sleep and shower! Candice offered us a wide array of fun things boy to be missed! There is coffee, water. treats and champagne in the lobby all day- again offering a wonderful treat to us when we walked in from hours of exploring! We look forward to staying here again!

We stayed here for four nights as our first visit to Amsterdam and didn’t really investigate where was best to locate ourselves. This hotel was perfect, close to the attractions we wanted to visit and some great places to eat and drink. What really made it special was the staff, from when we arrived and had our welcome introduction from (Anastasia?) through to when we left and were helped out to the taxi by a young guy from reception. We were allocated a suite then moved to a better room the second night due to youngsters bouncing around upstairs on the floor late at night and early in the morning and keeping us awake and after the move we slept very well. The breakfasts are freshly made and well worth booking for the quality and variety on offer. If and when we travel to Amsterdam again then this will be where we choose to stay, not worth the risk of trying somewhere else as I am sure it wouldn’t match up, well done everyone’s the hotel Albus!

I am thrilled that I ended up at the Albus. I arrived quite tired and a bit sick. Candace did a great job helping me out, even though it meant an upgrade, it was quite reasonable and let me have a place to crash about 4 hours sooner. It was a great location and the staff was quite helpful and fun to chat with. I would not only recommend this to others when I return, I will be staying here as well.
