We loved the Ambassade hotel, ideal location and very friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms. Appreciated to borrow umbrellas during raining days. We arrived very early in the morning and they kindly arranged for early check-in. Ideal location too, walking distance to all museums. We had drinks at the Hoxton, nearby as the atmosphere was a bit more trendy with our young adults.. However, we wish to have tried the restaurant at the Ambassade. The food looks fantastic. (Hoxton food was below average)
After a fabulous concert of “superheroes’ film theme music in our Royal Concerthall we had a bicycle tour in Amsterdam by night . And arrived at the Herengracht in Amsterdam , we were very warm welcomed at the hotel and they gave us a lovely room under the room with a view on the canal . With the lovely music in my ear I had a good sleep . a cool breeze , gave some smell of the green trees in front of our window , in which you good sit and dream away with spectacular view. After a good sleep we had a very nice breakfast in the Restaurant full of the art of the COBRA artist from around the world. All the servants are very warm and friendly and most guest came back again and were recognized. it tells a lot about the fine vibes of the Hotel . They have had very much famous writers and all the books first edition and signed are there to see at the bar.. We had a good informative tour of the art collection of the hotel , it’s incredible ! What a special and hidden gem of Amsterdam , and I can tell by experience that taking a Float at Koan Float the neighbors is something which make you fly in Amsterdam and on Holiday .…
Had an amazing trip to Amsterdam and stayed at the Ambassade hotel. Hotel was great with beautiful rooms in a perfect location. Staff was super helpful arranging tickets to the Van Gough museum, transportation, and providing recommendations. Will be back next time I'm in Amsterdam.
Great location, great service, very charming place. Very nice people at the front desk. The place to stay in Amsterdam. The room are very well decorated and the furniture including bed very comfortable
We enjoyed top notch, professional and warm, friendly service at the Ambassade. The structure itself is an exquisite selection of old canal houses, lovingly restored and creatively converted into hotel space. Our room was absolutely charming with a canal view that reminded us where we were. The public spaces- the Library, Brasserie and Lobby - are welcoming and fun. The collection of art throughout the hotel and the book collection in the library are memorable and a mark of distinction. Drinks in the Library and breakfast in the Brasserie rank at the top of any hotel experience. We certainly will stay in this premier hotel again on our next visit to Amsterdam.
The hotel could not be better situated for tourists, in the best part of Amsterdam and within easy walking distance of the most interesting sites. My wife had never been to Amsterdam and was enchanted by the hotel. The service is as good as any I have encountered, anywhere in the world, in particular the reception staff who are attentive and very helpful.
Our second visit to the Ambassade Hotel after 3 years. Pleasantly surprised that after the pandemic, our experience was as good if not better than our first time. The staff is friendly, helpful and cheerful. Our room on the third floor was reasonably spacious and had a great view of the canal. The rooms are all different and you have wind your way through hallways and short stairs (there is an elevator) but not surprising since the hotel is composed of several different buildings, all connected. Ambassade is not an inexpensive place to stay, but it's well located to walk and explore Amsterdam's nicest streets, canals, shops and restaurants. The staff helped us with restaurant choices and reservations (even one night for a group of 6 of us for a great Rifstaffel dinner). We love the lounge/library/bar for an evening drink or afternoon coffee.…
Absolutely perfect location in a lovely hotel. The area is perfect for restaurants, tram, along a beautiful canal. Very clean and pleasant rooms. The daily breakfast was heavenly; wide variety of delicious items and coffees…Staff was accommodating and very helpful.
it hits every taget: perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurant, relaxed ambience, lovely rooms with deliciously soft and comfortable beds. Also good reading lights, chairs that support your back, and magnifying mirros in the bathroom - a real plus.
The hotel is exceptionally well appointed, comfortable and elegant. The staff are just lovely. They are friendly, engaging and really helpful. The hotel is ideally placed. It is in a quiet area of the central city. All main venues you may want to visit are within walking distance. We would highly recommend the hotel.
