Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 2 nights during Christmas. We arrived early morning left are bags and went out for the day. The receptionist helped us to our bags and was very friendly. The location is the best part about this hotel as it’s walking distance to everything you need. The room we booked was small double so was nice and tiny as expected and had every thing you need. We had few issues in the night as at around 12:30 receptionist knocked our door asking our name which was bit scary as we were tired and sleeping and left saying sorry may be he got wrong room. The second night we had fire alarm ring at about 5am and the Wi-Fi stopped working all night which put us bit down.

Was a great location and the staff were lovely but it wasn’t the cleanest. There was mould on curtains, stains on duvet, no lampshade on a light, sofa was ruined and no soap in the bathroom. Would recommend bringing your own pillow case to feel a little bit more comfortable.

During my 3 days (business) exhibition visit at Amsterdam, I choose a hotel beside easy & handy public transport systems, so not in the heart of City, but almost. Handy way to travel from hotel into exhibition area (Amsterdam ROI) and back,, also short & easy to visit & walk around centrum area. My hotel room was one of the smallest I've been, but everything was in functional conditions,,, except elevator was out of service during one day. Staff was very polite & helpful, and I have enough time during the last day, before my return flight at evening, so I put my luggages there and spent whole afternoon by doing souvenier shoppings. Hotel was located at Rokin Street.

Room Tip: Elevator is a must because there are tiny walkways inside hotel. Nice views at 5-6th floors.

+1
I try to cancel this booking after 30 minutes of doing it and with 3 months in advance and they did not accept it and did not want to make a refund.
When we arrive they give us a room that was not yet clean so it was disgusting bin full, towels on the floor, dirty floor so we escape to reception and he told us it was a mistake so he gave us one room clean.
But anyway it was very disgusting, both rooms in 3rd floor, mould in the walls, windows full of condensation inside, room super small, walls dirty, curtains dirty, safe box did not work, no privacy in the toilet, the door did not open properly. All general very poor hotel.
Location was great as it is in central Amsterdam
Service was ok
They gave us the room before the check in time

The major problem we had with this hotel was the temperature in the room. The temp in Amsterdam was -7 degrees when we travelled in mid-December. The room was FREEZING, it was colder than outside. We were in tears it was so cold, it was unbearable. The heat seemed to be turned off remotely every day and we had to keep asking reception to turn it on, which they said they would do on their computer. I had to ask at reception 3 times before they gave me a portable heater and that didn’t really have enough power to heat the room. It took approx 2 hours for the room to heat up enough to be a bearable, we couldn’t get ready to go out for the night as it was so cold, we were sitting with our coats and scarves on in the room! Thankfully we were only there for 2 nights but it happened on both nights. There were people in reception queuing to complain about the same thing, so it was not just our room.
Also, on the website it states that all rooms have a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee making facilities but on arrival we were told that this is not the case and that that there was tea/coffee and a microwave at reception we could use. The microwave was filthy.
The room was just ok; a bit dated and grubby in parts and bulbs needed replacing etc, which was not done during the duration of our stay, even though we reported it.
We only ever saw one person on reception at any one time and they do not answer the phone, in fact the phone in the room did not seem to connect. The receptionist’s attitude was not great, quite abrupt. Since returning we have tried to call the hotel on many occasions to complain but one published number is a dead line and the other just rings out, no matter what time of the day you phone. I have written 3 emails to complain and they have not been acknowledged.

Just arrived after a 14 hour drive to our lovely hotel..lol
1. I called to ask for directions as my maps kept diverting me elsewhere. On arrival the man decided to tell my partner I was driving him nuts on the phone, by asking a simple question, Unacceptable.
2. He was extremely rude and said he had someone waiting here to park the car for hours, however he had never responded to our email about parking and would not help us get to the hotel
3. I asked why no one had replied to the email about the car parking and he stated it must have been missed he has many customers can’t reply to them all
4. He proceeded to tell us he hated his job.
5. As we only had card to pay for parking he would not help us and refused to park the car, so him and the man that takes the cars decided to speak a different language and laugh at us.
6. Because my partner asked for help which he wouldn’t give we advised him e were unhappy with the service and asked for a manager, therefore he said he did not like our tone and would refuse us to stay if we continued
7. He would not allow us to speak to the manager, when I asked for contact details he said to email the reception which obviously he was the receptionist
8.We have paid 750.00 for this hotel for a special occasion and chose it for parking specifically which we have now been told we cannot have.
9.The room is dull and has marks everywhere. Not nice at all, however we could overlook that had we not been treated so disgustingly on arrival. We go on multiple trips and year and never in my life have I received such a disgusting experience or customer service. It has ruined the whole stay here and you need to reevaluate who you hire as staff.
10.I’ve never felt so uncomfortable leaving my belongings somewhere with staff like that. I feel like we don’t even want to go out now.
DO NOT STAY HERE

It does not strike you as a good hotel upon walking in but i did not expect the number of issues we experienced. Heating does not work in either of the two rooms we were given. It is cold in this hotel unless it is an unusually warm day outside and your room has windows. One of the lamps was a bit dodgy in our room and it fell off. We lost power in the room and they could not restore it. Before leaving we realised there was a sock covering the smoke detector. That is how thorough they are cleaning the rooms and you notice how it is not really clean. Location is good though

Very unpleasant experience. They don't have heating in November and the room was pretty cold. The reception doesn't help. The window is pretty old and you can hear all the noises from outside. Old and cheap furniture. Pretty expensive (150 EUR per night) for the bad quality they offer. Not recommended.

Were due to go to Amsterdam 20th March for 4 days. Jet 2 cancelled flights with refund. At that time Amsterdam has already made decision to close all bars restaurants and tourist attractions. Hotel cordial have taken my money without providing any service to me. Do Not book to stay here. Obviously don’t care about their customers in these distressing times

For the only reason that we would go back to this hotel is for the Gentleman at the front desk, Mr Rossini. He answered all our questions with infinite patience. It was our first time in Amsterdam and we had a lot of questions. The hotel is centrally located, doesn’t have breakfast or coffee maker in the room and our room didn’t have a closet. Again, Mr. Rossini is a gentleman and he should be working in a 5 Stars Hotel.
