A terrible smell pervades through the hotel. The rooms are poorly cleaned and are tired looking. I can't believe that they charge €120 for a room..it is not worth €20 a night. Do not stay here.

Very average, very small Hotel. Reception very friendly and helpful. Room clean but very, very basic. Bed comfortable. Bathroom very small. Breakfast very basic for £7.50 per person. Dont bother cheaper to eat in town centre. Hall and stairs have a odd unpleasant odour!!! Get rid of carpet!!! You pay for what you get - not alot.

Stayed at this hotel 4 girls for the weekend. The price was really cheap so I wasn't expecting much in fact I was dreading what I was going to find. I was pleasantly suprised, the room was a little on the small side but the main thing was that it was clean. Had a weird small but once we aired...

The Concert Hotel seems to be a rather old, all of wood, typical, but they should remove the carpet from the stairs from the reception and from the rooms, as soon as you enter you immediately smell the typical unpleasant odor because of too many years of carpeting. Apart from this disadvantage, if you are not too sophisticated, is a...

The bed was very comfortable but the room was so small. There was no place to put the luggage in the room. The room was clean and it is a good location and safe. Too expensive for what I got.

The hotel that we had reseved was over booked, so they made arrangements for us to stay at the Concert Hotel. We arrived in the evening, and was greeted by a nice guy who informed us that his credit card machine was "broken" and we would have to pay cash for the rooms. 2 rooms for 2 nights is a...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
