We booked the IBIS with a couple of our friends, just outside the busy centre, lovely, clean hotel, really comfy beds, great back up from the reception, with bar and food area located at the rear of reception should you not want to venture out. We stopped on the 6th floor and was really quiet, never heard any other residents...

Dear Claire, Thank you so much for the great review! We really appreciate your comments and compliments and they will be shared with our team. Please for your next visit, we do have premium rooms for a surcharge with coffee and tea facilities and a view of the canal. As it is not an Ibis standard we do not have...

Having completed online check in and being informed that my key would be ready when I arrived I was met on arrival with a queue of people checking in and a sign on a table to the right of the entrance stating that if checked in online my key would be here for collection but there was only a box...

Location is good. Disappointed that there was no tea and coffee in the room, this is the only hotel I have ever stayed in without this facility. Hotel reception was modern. Rooms basic, comfy bed and pillows, good shower. You just get an all round soap complimentary, which is much less than I have seen at other budget hotels. Our...

I bought my partner to the Ibis Stopera hotel for his 25th birthday and we couldn't fault it! We paid €99 euros per night which was one of the cheapest hotels I could find in the area and stayed 3 nights. Rooms were basic but had everything you needed, beds were comfy and TV in the room. Bathroom was quite...

A very clean and comfortable hotel, with all of the usual Ibis features, including a nice restaurant area, fast and friendly bar service, and helpful/courteous reception. We had a light lunch in the bar area on arrival, and it was very good quality for the price. We didn't eat breakfast/dinner, as there are a lot of other options within walking...

Stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location - 15 minute walk from all main attractions. Lovely restaurants nearby. Rooms have everything you need, clean towels every day. Comfortable bed, could not hear anything from our bedroom. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Good location, 20 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The room was good and met our requirements for a long weekend. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We would come again.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this hotel and we had a great time. The room was a bit small and the restroom was sort of like being on an airplane's bathroom, not a big fan of it but at least it was my own private bathroom. The breakfast was great although a bit pricey, there is a...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
